Computerized numerical control machining center is a kind of automatic machine tool which can automatically switch different cutting tools to process complex parts.It is widely used in modern manufacturing industry.However,due to its complex functions and dangerous operation,users need to spend a lot of time to get familiar with its operation mode,and it is easy to cause psychological burden and physical fatigue.At the same time,with the improvement of users’ requirements for humanized products,in order to enhance the market competitiveness of products,enterprises not only need to improve the machining performance of CNC machining center,but also should pay attention to its research and development design in human-machine interaction.In the existing studies of CNC machine tools,there is a lack of research on the software interaction process of CNC machining center,only involving a single aspect of hardware or software.The degree of segmentation of machine tool users is insufficient.It also lacks the integrated research on hardware and software under the human-machine-environment interaction system.Because there are many kinds of CNC machining centers,this paper will take three-axis vertical CNC machining center as the research object and systematically study its human-machine interaction interface design.In view of the existing research deficiencies,the research work which carried out in this paper is as follows.firstly,the research status of CNC machine tools at home and abroad is analyzed.Based on this,the research methods and organizational structure of this paper are determined.Secondly,the definition and development of human-machine interaction are summarized,and the composition and design process of human-machine interface of CNC machining center are put forward.Then,the user group is subdivided into novice,intermediate and expert users,and the users of the two new vertical CNC machining centers are observed,interviewed on the spot and investigated by questionnaires.The user needs and problems are summarized and sorted out,and the user persona model is established.Then,in the interaction analysis of hardware interface,the visual scope and operating space of human-machine interaction are determined by using anthropometric data and the dimension.Positionand structure design of the interactive hardware in machining center are determined by combining the calculation equation which related to human factor engineering and the previous user research results.At the same time,the software interface design of two mainstream CNC systems is compared and analyzed,the software design principles of machining center is summed up and put forward suggestions to improve the workshop environment.Finally,we design the hardware and software interface of the vertical CNC machining center,we also recruit users to evaluate the final design scheme.The research results and innovation points of this paper are as follows.It is found that the human-machine interface problems in CNC machining center include: clear visual field of the observation window,complex button operation,lack of hierarchy in information presentation,delayed error feedback and insufficient local lighting,etc.It is summarized that the user’s demand for the machining center is mainly manifested in the following aspects: beautiful appearance,comfortable operation,reasonable human-machine position,information prompt and feedback,etc.The design principles of hardware interaction interface in dimension position,structure layout and appearance of vertical machining center are put forward,and the design principles of software interaction interface in consistency,fault-proof and fault-tolerant,interface layout and other aspects of its system software are put forward,as well as optimization suggestions on workshop lighting,noise and temperature.A set of innovative design scheme of hardware and software interface is proposed for medium-sized three-axis vertical CNC machining center,and users’ satisfaction with the scheme reaches the expected level.
