The urbanization rate in China increased from 17.9%in 1978 to 53%in 2016,while the average urbanization rate in western China in 2016 was only 47%.Since 2016,China has activelycultivated and constructed urban agglomerations. In the west,it plans to accelerate the urbanization process in the west by planning a total of 4 urban agglomerations in the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration,HuBaoEYu urban agglomeration,Lanxi urban agglomeration, and Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration in the west. These urban agglomerations are not determined by administrative divisions and simple geographical combinations, but by the government’s comprehensive cross-regional advantages. The Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration is not only an important carrier for expanding the development space and releasing the development potential of the central and western provinces, but also related to the strategic overall situation of the goal of building a cross-provincial modern economic system.Exploring the core system of the ecological footprint method to evaluate and describe the ecological security level of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration, and then using LMDI to analyze the factors affecting the ecological security can not only lay the foundation for the establishment of an urban agglomeration ecological monitoring system, but also promote the Xi’an,as a national central city, has new practical ways to promote the coordinated development of surrounding cities and realize the green development of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration. The Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration is selected as the research sample, and the time scale of the study is from 2005 to 2017.Based on the analysis of the per capita ecological deficit of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration and the dynamic changes of each account, the ecological pressure index and the ecological economic coordination coefficient are used to evaluate the urban agglomeration Ecological security level, and the use of footprint depth and breadth indicators to explore the impact of capital flow consumption and capital stock occupation on the level of ecological security. The results show that:(1)The per capita ecological footprint of the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration increased by 49.55%,and the per capita ecological carrying capacity fluctuated smoothly, resulting in an increase of 1.44 times the per capita ecological deficit.(2)The Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration has a high EPI and poor eco-economic coordination.Since 2005,it has been at level 6 of "total insecurity" for a long time.(3)The results of the 3D ecological footprint show that the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration needs 4.44 times the area to meet its resource consumption, and the consumption rate of the stock capital is 4.76 times that of the flow capital.(4)Among the various driving factors, structural factors have the most significant influence and are mainly promoted, while demographic factors, economic factors and technological factors are mainly inhibited.(5)Among the four factors, economic factors contributed the most, reaching 123.14%.To this end, suggestions are made to improve the water resources management system, control the source of atmospheric pollution, and strengthen land function zoning.By quantitatively analyzing the relationship between ecological security level factors and various resources, environment and economic activities, and further decomposing the influencing factors, put forward countermeasures and suggestions such as optimizing the industrial structure, improving the energy structure, and increasing the development of clean energy. The group provides a scientific basis for the resilience level of ecological changes.
