| With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,the national car ownership continued to grow steadily.As of the end of 2019,the number of motor vehicles nationwide reached 348 million,including 260 million vehicles,an increase of 8.83% over the previous year.Judging from the data of various provinces,the number of motor vehicles in Guangdong ranks first in the country,and the increase in the number of motor vehicles keeps Guangdong’s refined oil market in high demand.As an important bridge between the two,gas stations are irreplaceable for a long time to come.In 2019,the number of gas stations in the country has reached 103,900,and the two state-owned groups,CNPC and Sinopec,still occupy more than half of the market share.As the refined oil retail market is fully liberalized to foreign capital,the diversified competitive landscape will continue to deepen.This thesis started to study the operation strategy of S Company’s gas station business.S Company was established in Guangzhou in 2012 and is a holding subsidiary of a state-owned listed group company.The purpose of S Company was to devote itself to the development of the energy industry in Guangdong Province.In the early days of its establishment,he devoted himself to the development of the natural gas industry.Later,he discovered the development opportunities of the gas station industry.He entered the refined oil retail industry in 2015 and currently has four gas stations in Guangdong Province.The changes in the external environment in recent years have made the competition in the gas station industry increasingly fierce,which has caused a certain impact on the expansion and operation of S Corporation.In the face of the threat brought by changes in the external environment,S Company failed to make strategic adjustments quickly.Not only did it fail to expand its market share,it even aggravated its operating costs,and failed to achieve the expected benefits.The company fell into a dilemma of development.If S Company wants to continue to develop in the highly competitive gas station industry,it needs to re-evaluate its own advantages and disadvantages rationally,analyze the opportunities and threats in a dynamic market environment,and timely adjust or change key business activities such as business strategies and business models.In order to maintain the company’s sustainable competitive advantage.This thesis takes S Company as the research object and combines a variety of strategic tool models for a comprehensive and in-depth analysis.Firstly,analyze the internal environment of S Company,understand the current operating status of the gas station business,and discover the resources and capabilities it has.Secondly,use the PEST model to analyze theeconomic environment,political and legal environment,technical environment,and social and cultural environment,analyze the refined oil market,The supply and demand situation of the automobile market and the gas station market,while using the industry competition structure analysis model to further analyze the degree of competition in the gas station industry,to explore whether the current gas station industry in Guangdong Province is worth continued development.After analyzing the internal environment and the external environment,the SWOT matrix analysis model is used to determine the strategic choice of S Company,adjust the business strategy of S Company,and finally put forward targeted measures for the business strategy and implement it effectively. |
