At present,about 7,000 large-scale storage tanks has been built in China,and the maximum capacity of oil tanks can reach 20×10~4m~3.The larger the volume of fuels stored,the greater the Security risks.Therefore,the prevention of fire and explosion accidents of large-scale tank is an important responsibility for the safety work of the storage tank area.The research focuses on how to reproduce large tank fire and explosion accidents by using virtual reality technology.Through a large number of investigations on tank fire and explosion accidents,combined with existing accident consequence analysis methods,an optimum mathematic model for large tank fire and explosion accident was established.For fire accidents,the Mudan model is defined by comparing three radiation models.The advantage of this model is used to calculate the heat radiation flux received by the target at different distances under windless and windy conditions,and the error is relatively small compared with the actual target heat radiation flux.For the explosion accident,the TNT equivalent model is used for calculation.The model is simple and easy to understand and widely used.According to the fire and explosion accident model,the calculation of characteristic parameters,target radiant heat flux and duration can be used to control the shape,size and period of the flame particles in virtual reality.The data storage function is realized by programming,and can be used to judge the degree of personal injury and the safe evacuation distance of personnel.In order to reproduce the evolution process of fire and explosion accidents of large-scale storage tank,and study the consequences of fire and explosion accidents,a software of fire and explosion simulation of large-scale crude oil storage tank based on VR technology in real scene is developed.The software is divided into two major simulation modules:fire and explosion.It is programmed in C++language,combined with OSG particle system to simulate flame and explosion effect.The human-computer interaction interface program is designed by Qt software.According to the two-dimensional floor plan of a commercial crude oil storage,3DSMAX modeling software is used to carry out real scene modeling,texture mapping and rendering of the oil reserve area to enhance the realism of the scene.The modules are integrated into VS2010 to form a set of 3D simulation software for the consequences of fire and explosion accidents of large-scale tank based on real scenes.Applying the simulation software to simulate the accident case,the results show that the simulation software of fire and explosion accidents of large-scale tank based on VR technology has strong immersion and interactivity,which can simulate the dynamic evolution process of fire and explosion accidents of large-scale tank in real time,and reduce the cost of large-scale tank fire and explosion test.The analysis of software calculation results can provide scientific guidance for the formulation of accident plans and emergency firefighting.
