Objective:To observe the anti-hypertension effect of selecting Taichong(LR3)as the major point plus its common-meridian acupoint action of acupoints on the patients with essential hypertension as the research objects and to explore the specificity of acupoint compatibility. Methods:According to the inclusion criteria,135 patients with essential hypertension were randomized into five groups,Taichong group,Neiguan(PC6)group,a non-acupoint group,Taichong plus Neiguan group and Taichong plus non-acupoint group. On the basis of the existing treatment, the acupuncture needles were retained in acupoints for 30 min while the arrival of Qi was achieved, and twirled, lifted and thrust for 1 min in every 10 min, once every other day,3 times a week in 4weeks,12 times in total. The blood pressure was examined before and after the every acupuncture, and the 24h ambulatory BP monitoring was examined before and at the end of the treatment, and 4 weeks after the treatmentResult:1.Compare the hypertensive effect among the needle retaining time of 1 min and 30 min:After needle retaining for 30 min,the SBP reducted in all groups compared to before, and there were significances in statistics(P<0.05);On the needle retaining time of 30 min,the reduction of SBP besiden non-acupoint group were statistically significant compared with 1 min(P<0.05),and the reductions on the needle retaining time of 30 min were significantly superior to those of 1 min; After needle retaining for 30 min,the DBP reducted in all groups compared to before, and there were significances in statistics(P<0.05);On the needle retaining time of 30 min,the reduction of SBP in all groups were statistically significant compared with 1 min(P<0.05),and the reductions on the needle retaining time of 30 min were significantly better than those on the time of 1 min.2.The change of SBP after 3,6,9,and 12 acupuncture treatments:Except the non-acupoint group, the reduction of SBP in the other groups were gently increasing after 6,9,and 12 acupuncture treatments, and there were significant differences among 6,9,and 12 treatments(P<0.05);but not after 3 treatments in each groups(P>0.05),the degree of decreasing blood pressure of Taichong plus Neiguan group was obviously higher than the rest 4 groups after 6 and 9 treatments, and the differences between Taichong plus Neiguan group and non-acupoint group was significant(P<0.05);To compare with Taichong group,non-acupoint group and Taichong plus non-acupoint group, the largest proportional decreases noted in Taichong plus Neiguan group;the degree of decreasing blood pressure in non-acupoint group was smallest.②The results after three times、six times、nine times、twelve times of acupuncture on diastolic pressure were as follows:after three times、six times、nine times of acupuncture, except the non-acupoint group, the decreasing amplitude of systolic pressure on adjunct acupuncture points groups and single points groups were gradually increasing, and the results of comparison among the three groups were significantly different(P<0.05).After nine times、twelve times of acupuncture, the decreasing amplitude of systolic pressure on adjunct acupuncture points group(especially the LR3+PC6 group)and other single points groups were better than non-acupoint group.③After three times of manipulation, systolic blood pressure of LR3 group and Taichong plus Neiguan group were significantly decreased(P<0.05),while the diastolic blood pressure of it showed the decrease significantly after six times(P<0.05);after twelve times of acupuncture treatment, both systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were significantly decreased as compared with that before acupuncture, indicating the statistically significant difference(P<0.05),while the decreasing amplitude of systolic blood pressure was better than the diastole’s3.① By the end of the treatment:in the daytime, dynamic change of systolic blood pressure on LR3+PC6 group was significantly different compared with the other groups(P<0.05)and it shows the largest decline on the blood pressure;diastolic blood pressure of LR3+PC6 group was significantly different compared with the other groups(P<0.05)compared with non-acupoint group, and the differentness between other two groups were not significantly different(P>0.05),however,the decreasing amplitude of adjunct acupuncture points groups and single points groups were better than non-acupoint group.systolic blood ’s dynamic change in 24h shows significantly different on LR3+Neiguan group compared with other four groups, which revealed the largest rate;the decline of adjunct acupuncture points groups and single points groups were better than non-acupoint group.② follow-up studies after the treatment:in day and 24h,non-acupoint group compared LR3+PC6 group was significantly decreased, while the blood pressure of every groups increased in various degreesConclusion:1.The hypertensive effect after removing acupuncture needles in post-acupuncture 30min are more explicit than in 10 min.2.The hypertensive effect in LR3=PC6 group is more explicit than LR3+non-acupoint group as well as other single acupoint groups.Furthermore, the hypertensive effect of LR3 and PC6 are better than non-acupoint.3.Compared with diastolic blood pressure, acupuncture are more effective in hypertensive effect of reducing the systolic blood pressure, and it also has the accumulation effect of time to some extent.
