| ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ginger-separated moxibustion combined with α1-blocker on LUST symptoms of BPH,so as to provide more simple,affordable and effective methods for the clinical treatment of BPH.MethodsThere were 105 patients with kidney yang deficiency type of benign prostatic hyperplasia who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group,ginger-separated moxibustion group and combination group,and 35 cases in each group.Control group oral tamsulosin capsules,ginger-separated moxibustion group were pure by ginger-separated moxibustion treatment,and the combination group was treated with tamsulosin capsules combined with ginger-separated moxibustion therapy for 4 weeks.The changes of IPSS,QOL,residual urine volume,Qmax rate and TCM symptom scores were observed before and after treatment,and statistical analysis was performed to evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results1.There was no significant difference between the three groups before treatment in terms of age,course of disease,IPSS,QOL,residual urine volume,maximal uroflow rate and TCM symptom scores(P <0.05);2.In the IPSS score,the control group,ginger-separated moxibustion group and combination group respectively decreased from(18.49 ± 3.61),(17.75 ± 3.72),(17.84 ± 4.23)to(11.13 ± 3.26),(11.13 ± 3.48),(9.31 ± 2.99);For the QOL score,the three groups respectively decreased from(4.0,2.0),(4.0,2.0),(3.5,2.0)to(2.0,1.0)(2.0,1.75)、(1.0,1.0;In terms of residual urine volume,the three groups respectively decreased from(55.86 ± 22.74),(54.13 ± 18.74),(51.94 ± 17.48)to(42.80 ± 19.11),(42.16 ± 16.24),(33.41±14.91).In Qmax group,the three groups respectively increased from(9.51±2.92)、(10.15±2.97)、(10.33±2.32)to(13.6±4.08)、(14.2±4.42)、(15.28±3.19);In TCM symptom score,the three groups respectively decreased from(17.17 ± 4.14),(17.16 ± 4.42),(17.16 ± 4.23)to(11.09 ± 3.57),(9.75 ± 3.70),(8.348 ± 2.36)。The difference of IPSS,QOL,residual urine volume,Qmax and TCM symptom scores before and after treatment in each group were statistically significant(P <0.05);3.The differences of IPSS,QOL,residual urine volume and TCM symptom scores after treatment were statistically significant(P <0.05),and the effect of combined group was better than that of control group and ginger-separated moxibustion group.There was no significant difference between the control group and ginger-separated moxibustion group.There was no significant difference between three groups in Qmax.4.The difference before and after treatment of IPSS,residual urine volume between each groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).The combined group was superior to the other two groups(P <0.05),while there was no significant difference between the control group and the ginger-separated moxibustion group(P> 0.05).The difference before and after treatment of TCM symptom scores between each groups was statistically significant(P <0.05).The combined group and the ginger-separated moxibustion group was superior to the control groups(P <0.05),but there was no significant difference between the combined group and the ginger-separated moxibustion group(P> 0.05).The difference before and after treatment of QOL and Qmax between groups was no statistically significant(P> 0.05).5.Comparison of curative effect: In curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine,the three groups have statistically significant after treatment(P <0.05);The total effective rate in the ginger-separated moxibustion group(72%)and in the combined group(82%)was significantly better than that in the control group(60%)(P ≤ 0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the combined group and ginger-separated moxibustion group(p> 0.05).In terms of the curative effect of western medicine,there was no significant difference between the three groups after treatment(P> 0.05),but the combined group was significantly better(87%)than the control group(77%)and ginger-separated moxibustion group(78%).ConclusionGinger-separated moxibustion can improve symptoms of kidney yang deficiency in patients with BPH with kidney yang deficiency.When used combination with tamsulosin,and the symptoms of LUTS were significantly improved and were superior to those of pure by ginger-separated moxibustion or tamsulosin alone.Integrative Medicine in the treatment of LUST symptoms of patients with BPH have obvious advantages.Ginger-separated moxibustion is simple and economical,and it is worth to be promoted,but its mechanism needs to be further explored. |
