| ObjectiveIn this study,we evaluated the clinical efficacy of Leihuo moxibustion combined with doxazosin mesylate sustained-release tablets on urinary tract symptoms of spleen-kidney deficiency type prostatic hyperplasia,and evaluated the effectiveness of this method in the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Practice provides further evidence.MethodsA randomized controlled trial design was conducted to enroll 105 patients who were eligible for diagnosis of urinary tract symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and 105 volunteers.The patients were randomly divided into Leihuo moxibustion group,control group and combined treatment group,with 35 cases in each group.The Leihuo moxibustion group was given pure thunder moxibustion,the control group was given oral doxazosin,the combined group was treated with Leihuo moxibustion and oral doxazosin,and the course of treatment was 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated by observing the total scores of IPSS,QOL total score,Qmax,residual urine volume and spleen and kidney deficiency symptoms before and after treatment.Results1.There were no significant abnormalities in age,course of disease,IPSS total score and each subitem score,QOL total score,Qmax,residual urine volume and spleen and kidney deficiency symptom score of the patients in the three groups before treatment(P<0.05).2.In terms of IPSS scores,the total IPSS of the Leihuo moxibustion group,the western medicine group and the combined treatment group decreased from(17.58±3.84)、(17.67±3.48)、(17.69±3.96)to(11.25±3.27)、(11.57±3.18)and(9.12±3.36);In terms of QOL scores,the three groups decreased from(3.0,3.0),(3.0,2.0),(3.5,2.0)to(2.0,2.0),(2.0,1.0),(1.0,1.0);Qmax:The three groups were upgraded from(10.12±2.46),(9.68±2.68),(10.25±2.74)to(14.28±4.34),(13.26±4.12),(16.62±3.15);Residual urine volume:The three groups decreased from(53.27±18.26),(53.74±18.23),(52.38±17.64)to(42.16±16.38),(42.32±17.63),(32.67±15.35)before treatment;In terms of TCM symptom scores,the scores in the three groups decreased from(17.374.27),(16.86 4.33)and(17.32 4.38)before treatment to(10.64 3.64),(11.362.46)and(8.15 2.35)respectively.Before and after treatment,IPSS total score,QOL total score,Qmax,residual urine volume and TCM symptom score of each group were improved,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).3.The differences of IPSS,QOL,residual urine volume,Qmax and TCM symptom score after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the effect of combined group was better than that of control group and ginger-separated moxibustion group.There was no significant difference between the control group and ginger-separated moxibustion group.4.The differences of IPSS total score,Qmax and residual urine volume before and after treatment among the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),and IPSS total score and Qmax were statistically significant(P<0.01).In addition,the combined group was superior to the western medicine group and the thunder fire moxibustion group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the western medicine group and the thunder fire moxibustion group(P>0.05).The difference between the three groups before and after the TCM symptom integral treatment was statistically significant.The group with thunder fire moxibustion and the combined group were better than the group with western medicine(P<0.05),while the group with thunder fire moxibustion and the combined group had no significant difference(P>0.05).In terms of QOL,there was no significant difference between the three groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).5.Comparison of curative effect:in terms of curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine,there was no statistical significance in the comparison of curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine after treatment in the three groups(P>0.05),but the total effective rate in the combined group(84.4%)was significantly higher than that in the western medicine group(62.9%)and the thunder fire moxibustion group(75%).In terms of the curative effect of western medicine,the comparison of the curative effect of western medicine in the three groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the significant efficiency of the combined group(31.2%)was significantly better than that of the western medicine group(17.1%)and the thunder fire moxibustion group(12.5%).ConclusionLeihuo moxibustion can improve the symptoms of spleen and kidney deficiency in patients with spleen and kidney deficiency type prostatic hyperplasia,and combined with doxazosin treatment can significantly improve the patient’ s total score of IPSS,QOL total score,Qmax,residual urine volume,and Q3,Q4,The lower urinary tract symptoms corresponding to each sub-item of Q5 and Q6,and the combination of the two is superior to the simple application of thunder fire moxibustion or oral doxazosin.Thunder fire moxibustion treatment is gentle and comfortable,no toxic side effects,no pain,the treatment effect is better than general acupuncture,eliminating the patient’s acupuncture and surgery pain.Moreover,the operation is extremely simple,and the treatment plan can be implemented by itself,which is worth further promotion,but its mechanism needs further exploration. |
