| Objective: To observe the effection of Yiqi Jiedu Decoction combined with chemotherapy(SOX)on the symptoms and physical condition scores of patients with stage IIIB-IV gastric cancer,and observe the change of expression levels of cytokines secreted by Th1 and Th2 in peripheral blood before and after the treatment.To investigate the effection of this prescription on Th1/Th2 immune drift status in patients with advanced gastric cancer,evaluate the therapeutic effect of Yiqi Jiedu Decoction combined with chemotherapy on gastric cancer,and explore the mechanism of its effect on immune function.Methods: According to the inclusion criteria,60 qi-deficiency and toxic aggregates type gastric cancer patients with stage IIIB-IV were selected,randomly divided into treatment group(Yiqi Jiedu Fang combined with SOX chemotherapy)and control group(chemotherapy only)with 30 cases each.Observe the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine in the two groups of patients,assess changes in physical status scores and myelosuppression,and measure the changes of IFN-?,IL-2,IL-10,and IL-4 concentrations in the peripheral blood before and after treatment.Results:(1)Th1,Th2 cytokine detection: The results of IL-2,IFN-?,IL-4,and IL-10 concentrations were measured by ELISA.The t-test showed no significant difference in the cytokine concentration before treatment(P >0.05);the difference in cytokine levels before and after treatment in the treatment group had highly statistical significance(P<0.01);the difference in cytokine levels before and after treatment in the control group were statistically significant(P<0.01);after treatment,the difference of cytokines between the two groups were highly statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Clinical symptoms of TCM: Comparing clinical symptom scores of traditional Chinese medicine before and after treatment in both groups,the effective rate in the treatment group was 93.3%,and the effective rate in the control group was 80%.After the chi-square test,there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(3)KPS score: The changes of KPS scores before and after treatment were compared between the treatment group and the control group.After the rank sum test,there was no significant difference in the KPS level before treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05);KPS scores improved significantly after treatment compared with scores before treatment(P<0.01);after treatment,there was a statistically significant difference between two groups in KPS values(P < 0.05).(4)Myelosuppression: According to the degree of myelosuppression after treatment in the two groups of patients,after the rank sum test,the degree of myelosuppression between the control group and the treatment group was significantly different after treatment,and it was highly statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Yiqi Jiedu Decoction combined with chemotherapy can regulate the cytokines content in patients with advanced gastric cancer,thus regulating the balance of Th1/Th2,inducing a shift in equilibrium toward Th1's predominance,promoting reversal of Th1/Th2 immune drift state,mitigating patient's symptoms,and improving physical conditions,its efficacy is better than chemotherapy alone. |
