| Objective:To detect the plasma levels of adiponectin(ADPN)and metalloproteinase-13(MMP-13)in patients with primary osteoarthritis of the knee(KOA)and normal controls were detected. The relationship between them was analyzed and the role of them in the pathogenesis and development of KOA was preliminarily discussed. Methods : We collected patients who were hospitalized in our orthopedic department from May 2016 to November 2017.A total of 75 patients, including 50 patients with primary osteoarthritis of the knee(mild 27,serious 23)and 25 patients with normal X of knee joint(normal group),were collected after detailed examination of the medical history and comprehensive systemic physical examination. The plasma and clinical data of these patients were collected. The plasma levels of ADPN and MMP-13 in patients with primary knee osteoarthritis(mild KOA group, serious KOA group)and normal control group were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The differences of expression among the three groups were compared. The differences of clinical and laboratory indexes among the three groups were compared and analyzed. To analyze the possible role of ADPN and MMP-13 in the occurrence and development of KOA disease and their correlation.Results:1.The expression of MMP-13 in plasma of mild KOA group and serious KOA group was higher than that of normal control group.2.The expression of ADPN in plasma of mild KOA group and severe KOA group was lower than that of normal control group.3.There were significant differences between mild OA group and serious KOA group in age, sex,BMI,WBC,GRA,MO,TC,apoB,LDL,apoA,ESR,CRP and normal control(p<0.05),but there was no significant difference between mild KOA and serious KOA on the level of TG,LYM,HDL(p>0.05).4.There was a correlation between MMP-13 and ADPN expression in mild KOA group(correlation coefficient was-0.5191 p= 0.0055).and there was a correlation between MMP-13 and ADPN expression in serious KOA group(correlation coefficient was-0.7173 p= 0.0001).5.There was a negative correlation between the occurrence of ADPN and KOA(p<0.05)and the positive correlation between the occurrence of MMP-13 and KOA(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The expression of MMP-13 in plasma was positively correlated with the severity of KOA,and the expression of ADPN in plasma was negatively correlated with the severity of KOA.2.There was a negative correlation between the expression ofMMP-13 and ADPN in the plasma of KOA patients.3.Plasma MMP-13 and ADPN may be related factors of KOA. |
