ObjectiveIt is assumed that the level of serum IGF-can protect the stability of cerebral infarction and atherosclerotic plaques.By observing the difference in the level of peripheral blood IGF-1 in patients with different stages of cerebral infarction and the patients with different carotid plaque properties, this view is verified.MethodsFrom March 2016 to September 2017,80 patients were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College and were diagnosed with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction(ASCI).The health staff selected for physical examination in our hospital served as a control group,a total of 40 cases. In the ASCI group,5 ml of venous blood was collected on the 3rd and 14 th days of admission, and in the control group,5 ml of venous blood was collected on the day of physical examination, both of which were in the fasting state. We sent it to our hospital's endocrine laboratory and used chemiluminescence to detect serum IGF-1 levels in the ASCI group and the normal control group. All patients in the ASCI group were admitted to the hospital with color Doppler ultrasonography to determine bilateral carotid ultrasound.ASCI patients were divided into plaque stabilization group and unstable plaque group according to the results of color Doppler ultrasound measurement.Statistically stable plaque group was obtained.A total of 44 patients and 36 unstable plaque groups were included. In addition, the ASCI group was grouped according to the NIHSS(National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)score on admission, and was divided into light group(25 cases),medium group(40 cases),and heavy group(15 cases). The serum IGF-1 levels in different groups were statistically analyzed.SPSS statistical software was used to count the correlation of serum IGF-1 levels between different groups.Results1.The serum IGF-1 level in the ASCI group at the 3rd day(89.55±11.36)was significantly lower than that in the healthy control group(118.25±10.20)),while the serum IGF-1 level at the 14 th day was higher than that at the 3rd day(102.30±10.94),but still lower than the healthy control group(118.25 ± 10.20),with differences between groups(P<0.01)2.The analysis of carotid ultrasound ultrasonography results in all patients in the ASCI group showed that there were more carotid plaques,a total of 44 cases, and the number of stable carotid plaques was 36.Statistical analysis of IGF-1 levels showed that serum IGF-1 levels(81.68±8.47)were significantly lower in carotid artery unstable plaque patients than in patients with carotid artery stability plaques(99.17±5.50),and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.01).According to the NHISS score, the ASCI group was divided into light group(25 cases),medium-sized group(40 cases),and severe group(15 cases).Serum IGF-1 levels were calculated and the results were serum IGF-1 levels in patients with mild, moderate, and severe diseases.Lower than the control group(P all <0.05),in which the heavy group was lower than the middle group, and the middle group was lower than the heavy group.Conclusion1.the high level of serum IGF-1 has a protective effect on cerebral tissue after ischemia, which can provide a new target for the treatment of cerebral infarction.2.the study confirmed that serum high level of IGF-1 had a certain effect on maintaining the stability of carotid plaques, and positively correlated with plaque stability.3.serum IGF-1 level can reflect the severity of cerebral infarction to some extent.
