Objective 1.To explore the difference of HS-CRP levels between chronic schizophrenia patients and normal controls.2.To explore the difference of HS-CRP levels and related factors in chronic schizophrenia patients treated with clozapine and non-clozapine.3.To investigate the incidence of obesity and its correlation with HS-CRP in patients with chronic schizophrenia.4.To evaluate the abnormal characteristics of blood lipid metabolism and its correlation with HS-CRP in patients with chronic schizophrenia.5.To explore the relationship between psychopathology, cognitive function and HS-CRP in patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods 1.The subjects were: 1)the fourth people’s Hospital of Hefei 2)Chaohu Hospital affiliated to Anhui Medical University 3)the fourth people’s Hospital of Ma’anshan City.2.The admission criteria were as follows: 1)aged 18-75 years,Han nationality,2)according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder,ICD-10;3)the course of schizophrenia was more than 5 years,4)No pregnancy or lactation;5)there was no serious somatic disease, the patients with severe nervous system disease and mental retardation were excluded.6)Exclude patients with other mental illness or substance dependence 7)Patients and their families agree to participate in the project and sign informed consent. The control group, selected from normal people in the community who matched the patient’s age and education level, excluded pregnancy orlactation, severe physical illness, mental illness and substance dependence, and agreed to participate in the program.3.30 positive and negative syndrome scales(PANSS)assessed by two psychiatrists who were also trained in PANSS scoring.4.Weight and height were measured in a standardized manner, and body mass index(BMI)(was calculated in kg / square)and weight(in meters).Height measurements are accurate to millimeters. The weight was calibrated to 0.1 kg by electronic scale.BMI ≥ 28 is defined as obesity.5.Fasting blood samples collected from patients between 7 and 9 in the morning. The plasma was separated before use and stored in a 70 °C refrigerator.Determination of blood glucose, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in the diagnostic laboratory of Chaohu Hospital,Anhui Medical University.6.Fasting blood samples were collected from the forearm vein from 7 to 9 am.Double antibody sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the level of serum hypersensitive C reactive protein. The examiner had no knowledge of the clinical status of the patient who had taken the blood sample. The sensitivity was 2 PG / ml and the coefficient of variation was < 9%.Results 1.The obesity rate of patients with chronic schizophrenia in this study was 16.27.The serum CRP level in obese schizophrenic group was significantly higher than that in non-obese group.Correlation analysis showed that serum CRP level was positively correlated with body mass index(BMI).2.The serum TC level in the patient group was higher than that in the control group, the HDL-C level in the patient group was lower than that in the control group, and the blood LDL-C level in the patient group was higher than that in the control group.2)the incidence of high TC in the patient group(28.7%)was higher than that in the controlgroup(22.8%),but there was no significant difference between the two groups. The incidence of high TG in the patient group(33.4%)was higher than that in the control group(15.0%),the difference was statistically significant. The incidence of low HDL-C in the patient group(30.0%)was higher than that in the control group(17.2%),the difference was statistically significant. The incidence of high LDL-C in the patient group(10.6%)was higher than that in the control group(7.2%),but the difference was not statistically significant.3)the level of serum HS-CRP was a risk factor of high TC,high TG,and low HDL-C,but had no correlation with high LDL-C.3.In schizophrenic patients, clozapine treatment and other antipsychotic therapy showed a significant difference in serum CRP levels.4.There was no significant correlation between serum HS-CRP level and total score of PANSS,general psychopathology score, positive symptom score, negative symptom score and cognitive subscale(all p > 0.05).Conclusion 1.Compared with the normal control group, the BMI value of patients with chronic schizophrenia was higher, the metabolism of blood lipids was significantly abnormal, and there was a significant correlation between BMI index and dyslipidemia and HS-CRP.2.There was no significant difference in the incidence of hyperglycemia, high TC,high TG,low HDL-C and hyper LDL-C between patients with chronic schizophrenia treated with clozapine and other antipsychotic drugs. However, clozapine can increase HS-CRP level, which is an independent factor affecting HS-CRP level.3.There was no significant correlation between HS-CRP level and psychopathology score, positive symptom score, negative symptom score and cognitive scale score in patients with chronic schizophrenia.
