| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of modified Simiaosan fumigation and hip bath in the treatment of downward damp-heat inflammatory external hemorrhoids,aiming to explore its mechanism and provide some experimental evidence for clinical application.Methods: According to the inclusive criteria,sixty outpatients with inflammatory external hemorrhoids from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the objects.They were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases).Modified Simiaosan fumigation and hip bath was used in treatment group while the 5000 potassium permanganate solution fumigation and hip bath was adopted in the control group.Taking 7 days as a course of treatment,The changes of anal painswelling,dampness,pruritus and edema were compared and analyzed in pretreatment day and post-treatment 3rd,5th and 7th days.Meanwhile,the total efficacy was also compared.Result: There was no significant difference in gender,age,course of disease,pretreatment symptoms and signs between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable.The total efficacy was 96% in the treatment group while 86% in the control group,showing a significant difference of overall clinical efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05).The medicine adopted by both groups could effectively improve the symptoms and signs of downward damp-heat inflammatory external hemorrhoids,but the clinical efficacy of the treatment group is better than that of the control group,difference of which was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Modified Simiaosan fumigation and hip bath is a conservative treatment for downward damp-heat inflammatory external hemorrhoids,which has showed definite therapeutic efficacy,high safety and simple operation,deserving to be promoted in clinic. |
