ObjectiveIn this study,a control group was set up to observe and compare the clinical efficacy of the control group(the modified prescription of Xie-Huang San)and the treatment group(the modified prescription of Xie-Huang San and infantile tuina)in the treatment of prescription stagnation. To evaluate the curative effect. To guide the clinical application of the modified prescription of Xie-Huang San and infantile tuina in the treatment of pediatrics stagnation. The purpose is to guide the clinical application of using the modified prescription of Xie-Huang San and infantile tuina in the treatment of infantile stagnation in the future.MethodsIt is a prospective and randomized clinical research.60 children aged 1 to 6 years old who met the diagnostic criteria of prescription stagnation and syndrome of heat due to retention of food were assigned to the treatment group and the control group according to the simple number random method. There were 30 children in each group. The treatment group was treated with the modified prescription of Xie-Huang San,an oral liquid of traditional Chinese medicine(the modified prescription of Xie-Huang San:Patchouli,Gardenia jasminoides,Fangfeng,Gypsum,Glycyrrhiza,Orange peel,Magnolia officinalis.once per day,a total of 3 days)and infantile tuina(Prescription infantile tuina:clear large intestine, clear the spleen channel, clear stomach meridian, withdraw six fu-organs,knead the spine, knead Tsusanli.Once a day,a total of 3 days). The control group was treated with bifidobacterium triple viable capsule,The scores of TCM syndromes were recorded before and after treatment. Finally, the statistical data were collected and evaluated.ResultsThe differences of TCM syndromes and total score before and after treatment between the two groups were statistically significant, which indicated that both groups had certain curative effects on the treatment of children’s syndrome of accumulation of food and heat. After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.001<0.05),indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group. The difference of the syndrome scores between the two groups after treatment indicated that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group in improving the symptoms of food intake, body heat sweating, and tongue coating, and the difference was statistically significant. The effects were similar in improving stool, abdominal distension.Conclusionthe modified prescription of Xie-Huang San combined tuina can clear heat, eliminate accumulation, guide out stagnation, improve the symptom of accumulation of stagnation in children, and have better curative effect in treating children with accumulation of food and heat.
