| BackgroundIn 2009,the joint document "Administrative Measures for the Health Medical Examination of Students from Primary and Middle schoolss in Shandong Province"was issued by the former Provincial Department of Health,Provincial Department of Education,Provincial Department of Finance,and Provincial Price Bureau,which aimed to fully master the health status of students from primary and secondary schools in Shan Dong Province by carrying out Health medical examinations for students from primary and secondary schools.In December 2016,the results of the seventh primary and secondary schools health examination in Shandong Province reported by the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial Government showed that the average overweight rate increased by 9.1 percentage points to 30.8%,compared with five years ago;Obesity rose by four percentage points to 12.8%.It is particularly noteworthy that overweight and obesity have shown a clear trend towards younger ages,with the average overweight and obesity rates for students aged 8-12 increasing by 36 per cent and 31 per cent,respectively.Children overweight and obesity,unlike myopia,dental caries two diseases have been paid attention to by parents,schoolss,the whole society is far from the harm of obesity,this trend continues to increase the adult chronic disease of obese students risk.The results also show that the physical morphology and physiological function of primary and middle schools students in the province are higher than the national average.The physical and mental health of primary and middle schools students is a complex social problem.Through the analysis of the health examination results of primary and secondary schools students,it is of great significance to timely grasp the status,development,and especially the changing trends of primary and secondary schools students ’health status.Objectives1.To understand the average level of physiological indicators of the students from primary and middle schools in Tancheng County;2.To understand the distribution of overweight,obesity,dental caries and myopia in primary and middle schools in Tancheng County;3.Understand the trends in indicators durinig 2013-2017.MethodsBy means of a census,this study,with all primary and secondary schools students in the compulsory education stage in Tancheng County,organized a medical examination every year from 2013 to 2017,covering all primary and secondary schools in urban and rural areas of the county,with a total of 20 middle schools and 116 primary schools,distributed in urban areas and 12 townships.The number of students participating in health examinations each year was 61,778,84,588,73,916,83,661 and 90121,respectively,accounting for 15.7%.21.5%,18.8%,21.2%and 22.9%of the total sample,and a total of 394.064 person-time.Among them,by sex,215020 males(54.6%of the total sample)and 179044 females(45.4%of the total sample);By region.165.479 people(42.0%of the total sample)were in urban areas and 228585(58.0%of the total sample)in rural areas;According to the source of students,95,389 urban students(24.2%of the total sample)and 298,675 rural students(75.8%of the total sample).The items of primary and secondary schools health examination include:1.Morphological indicators examination:height,weight;2,internal medicine routine examination:heart,vital stethoscope;3.visual examination;4,oral examination:dental caries,periodontal;5,physiological function indicators:vital capacity(more than three years of primary schools).The medical examination team consists of 4 clinical practitioners(including 2 leading physicians),2 public health practitioners(1 intermediate),4 nurses(2 leading nurses).4 examiners(2 leading examiners).and 8 ophthalmologists.Before carrying out the health examination,the Department of Health and Family Planning in the county organized unified training and assessment of the medical examination team.by which they unified the medical examination methods of each medical examination project and the recording methods of the results of each medical examination,and every on should pass the training examination,and then they can get on duty.During the medical examination process,the"Health Medical Examination Form for Students from Primary and Secondary schools in Shandong Province" was used uniformly,in accordance with the "Quality Control Standard for Health Medical Examination for students from Primary and Secondary schools in Shandong Province" and the "Health Medical Examination Method for Students from Primary and Secondary schools in Shandong Province"(Luweiban[2009]94).The medical examination equipment and instruments used in the examination are measured and qualified.This paper adopts the methods of literature and mathematical statistics to analyze the health examination data of students from primary and secondary schools students.ResultsOverall,the level of development of students in compulsory education in Tancheng County from 2013 to 2017 continued to improve.From 2013 to 2017,the average height of primary and middle school students was 140.10 ± 15.82,141.29±15.60,141.45 ±15.79,139.66±14.82 and 142.68 ±15.47,respectively.The average height in five years is 141.10±15.52,increasing year by year from 2013 to 2015.The average height of primary and middle school students from 2013 to 2017 was 39.65 ±15.29,39.17 ± 14.64,37.20 ± 13.59,37.97 ± 14.30 and 38.49 ±13.61,respectively.From 2013 to 2015,it decreased year by year,and from 2015 to 2017,it increased year by year.Over the past five years,the rate of overweight has increased year by year(15.6%-17%).On the level of vital capacity,the average level of vital capacity in 2013-2017 was 1982.90,2018.58,2299.46,2033.70 and 2058.79 respectively,and the vital capacity of boys in all ages was higher than that of girls.In terms of eye vision(whether monocular or binocular),the myopia rate of students decreased year by year from 2014 to 2017.The myopia rate of urban students was higher than that of rural students,and the myopia rate of girls was higher than that of boys at all ages.In terms of caries prevalence,from 2015 to 2017,the prevalence of dental caries among students increased year by year.ConclusionOverall,the level of development of students in compulsory education in Tancheng County from 2013 to 2017 continued to improve.In terms of height,the average height falled from 2013 to 2015 and increased.In terms of weight level,the average weight decreases year by year,and the aver from 2015 to 2017.The overweight rate is on the rise,with the rate of overweight among urban students declining and rising among rural students.The overweight rate of boys was higher than that of girls from 7～14～stage.The average obesity rate showed a downward trend,and the average obesity rate of boys was higher than that of girls at all ages.In terms of eye vision(whether it is monocular vision or binocular vision),the student’s myopia rate has been declining year by year from 2014 to 2017.The urban student’s myopia rate is higher than that of rural areas,and the myopia rate of girls was higher than that of boys at all ages.In terms of dental caries,the prevalence of dental caries among students has increased year by year from 2015 to 2017. |
