| Medical wastes refer to wastes produced in health care,prevention,medical treatment and other related activities characterized by toxicity and infectivity.Medical wastes are divided into five categories according to their characteristics,including infectious medical wastes,injurious medical wastes,radioactive medical wastes,pharmaceutical medical wastes and chemotoxic medical wastes.In the National Hazardous Waste List issued by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection in 2016,medical wastes ranked first.Medical wastes contain a large number of pathogenic microorganisms or other harmful factors.If they are discharged arbitrarily without standardized treatment,they will seriously pollute the air,water and soil,and cause immeasurable damage to our living environment.Therefore,it is of great significance to strengthen medical waste management.Under the reform of medical and health system in China,this paper carried out an empirical analysis for medical waste management in Wenzhou.The current situation of medical waste management in Wenzhou was investigated using questionnaires,field surveys,interviews and case analysis.The current situation was evaluated,and problems were pointed out and analyzed.Then,based on the empirical investigation results of medical waste management in Wenzhou,as well as the advanced experience of foreign medical waste management and the innovative mode of domestic medical waste management,the countermeasures and suggestions with practical significance to solve the problems were explored with the consideration of internal management of medical institutions,construction of law and regulation system,guarantee of management funds and regulation mode of government departments using the theory of holistic governance as the theoretical basis combined with practical experience,so as to provide some ideas to improve medical waste management in China. |
