Objective:This study was designed to identify factors associated with facial allergic contact dermatitis(ACD)and provide clinical guidance for suspected facial ACD patients.Methods:All of the 60 suspected facial allergic contact dermatitis patients were collected from the department of dermatology of The Second Hospital of Jilin University during Mar 2018 through Jan 2019.All patients were patch tested.Grading of negative(-)to positive(+ to ++++)patch test was done according to the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group.Statistical analysis was conducted by SPSS 17.0.Results:Of the 60 suspected facial allergic contact dermatitis patients,the top six allergens were nickel chloride(68.3%),sodium dodecyl sulfate(35.0%),cobalt chloride(28.3%),nickel sulfate(21.7%),paraphenylenediamine(13.3%)and thimerosal(13.3%).Female patients are more than male patients.Of the 60 included patients,34(56.7%)had multiple contact allergies.Conclusions:Common allergens in patients with suspected facial dermatitis are nickel chloride,sodium dodecyl sulfat,cobalt chloride,nickel sulfate,para-phenylenediamine and thimerosal.Metal,surfactants and preserva-tives are the most common allergens inducing the facial allergic contact dermatitis.Female patients are more than male patients and multiple contact allergies account for a larger proportion.
