Exploxe The Effect Of Clinical Pharmacists Consultation On The Treatment Of Patients With Severe Drug Eruptions

Objective: Severe drug eruption is a serious adverse drug reaction to the skin,mainly including Steven-Johnson Syndrom(SJS),Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis(TEN)and Exfolia-tive Dermatitis(ED).Severe drug eruption has complex pathogenesis,extensive skin lesions,symptoms of systemic poisoning,involvement of organs,high morbidity and mortality,and should be highly valued by clinicians and clinical pharmacists.Clinical pharmacists is mainly responsible for the collection,analysis,collation and reporting of adverse drug reactions in hospitals,providing pharmaceutical services for monitoring adverse drug reactions,ensuring patient drug safety and participating in clinical drug treatment.Therefore,this article aims to investigate the effect of clinical pharmacist consultation on the treatment of severe drug eruptions.Methods: Retrospective analysis of clinical data of patients with severe drug eruption admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University.According to whether the clinical pharmacist participates in the consultation,the patients were divided into clinical pharmacist consultation group and non-clinical pharmacist consultation group.Summary and analysis ofdrug rash type,sensitizing drugs,clinical manifestations,laboratory tests,medication,clinical pharmacist consultation,patient treatment and outcomes,drug costs and total cost of hospitalization between the two groups.Results: Thirty patients with severe drug eruption included 10 cases of SJS,11 cases of TEN and 9 cases of ED.Among them,there were 14 cases of clinical pharmacists participating in the consultation(clinical pharmacist consultation group),and 16 cases without clinical pharmacists participating in the consultation(no clinical pharmacist consultation group).There were no significant differences in Drug rash type,mucosal involvement and renal function between the two groups(p > 0.05).There were significant differences in fever,blood routine,liver function,length of hospital stay,drug cost and total cost of hospitalization(p < 0.05).Twenty-three of the 30 drug eruption cases had clear single sensitizing drugs.The main sensitizing drugs were antipyretic analgesics,antiepileptic drugs,antibiotics and traditional Chinese medicine.Conclusion: Clinical pharmacists have positive significance for the diagnosis and treatment of severe drug eruptions,shortening the number of hospital stays and the economic burden of patients with severe drug eruptions.It is especially important for clinical pharmacists to participate in clinical practice and to work with clinicians to grasp the indications,principles of use,prudently formulate reasonable,safe and effective dosing regimens for patients,and to administer medications to patients and their families.
