| ObjectiveBy observing the effect of warm acupuncture and moxibustion and sodium hyaluronate injection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages,we compared the therapeutic effects of the two therapies in the early and middle stages of knee osteoarthritis,in order to find a better and simpler method for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in the early and middle stages.MethodsIn this study,72 cases(early stage)and 72 cases(middle stage)of knee osteoarthritis in outpatient or inpatient department of acupuncture and orthopedics in Foshan Hospital from January 2018 to February 2019 were selected, all of them were in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The early stage patients were randomly enrolled in the group, and according to the Stochastic numerical table method, they were randomly divided into warm acupuncture Group and sodium hyaluronate Group,36 cases in each group. The middle stage of the patients randomly into the group, according to the Stochastic digital table method, randomly divided into warm acupuncture Group and sodium hyaluronate Group,36 cases per group.Warm Acupuncture group take the knee eye,Liangqiu,Yanglingquan,Xuehai,Dazhu,Ash point, routine skin disinfection before needle nsertion. After each acupoint receive qi,plug the lighted Moxa sticks of about 2cm into the handle of the acupuncture needle. When the Moxa sticks burn out,the needles will be released. The sodium hyaluronate group take the internal or external knee eye acupoint, and after routine disinfection of the alpha iodine,Sodium hyaluronate injection of 2 ml will be injected into the joint from internal or external knee eye acupoint. In the above treatment, the warm acupuncture group was treated 2 times a week, and the sodium hyaluronate group was treated 1 time a week. Both of the course of treatment were 4 weeks. After the treatment, the VAS,WOMAC and treatment efficiency were evaluated before and after treatment in the early stage two groups. The same goes for the middle stage two groups.ResultsComparison of two groups in early stage of KOA1.In patients with early stage knee osteoarthritis, there was no significant difference in general condition(age, sex and course of disease)between the warm acupuncture group and the Sodium Hyaluronate Group(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.2.With regard to VAS score, there was no significant difference between the warm acupuncture group and the Sodium Hyaluronate Group(P>0.05)before treatment, which was comparable, and there was a significant difference between the warm acupuncture group and the sodium Hyaluronate group after treatment(P<0.05),and the warm acupuncture group could effectively reduce the VAS score. There was a significant difference in the contrast between the warm acupuncture group before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the sodium hyaluronate group was the same.3.With regard to the score of WOMAC(pain, stiffness, joint function, overall),there was no significant difference in contrast between the warm acupuncture group and the Sodium Hyaluronate Group(P>0.05)before treatment, and there was a significant difference between the warm acupuncture group and the sodium Hyaluronate group after treatment(P<0.05),Warm acupuncture group can effectively reduce womac(pain, stiffness, joint function, overall)score. There was a significant difference in self-comparison before and after treatment between warm acupuncture group(P<0.05),and the sodium hyaluronate group was the same.Comparison of two groups in middle stage of KOA1.In patients with middle stage knee osteoarthritis, there was no significant difference in general condition(age, sex and course of disease)between the warm acupuncture group and the Sodium Hyaluronate Group(P>0.05),and the two groups were comparable.2.With regard to VAS score, there was no significant difference between the warm acupuncture group and the Sodium Hyaluronate Group(P>0.05)before treatment, which was comparable, and there was a significant difference between the warm acupuncture group and the sodium Hyaluronate group after treatment(P<0.05),and the sodium Hyaluronate group could effectively reduce the VAS score. There was a significant difference in self-comparison before and after treatment between warm acupuncture group(P<0.05).The same goes for the sodium Hyaluronate group.3.As for the overall WOMAC,there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05)before treatment, which was comparable, and after treatment, there was a significant difference between the warm acupuncture group and the Sodium Hyaluronate Group(P<0.05),and the sodium Hyaluronate group could effectively reduce the WOMAC total score. There was a significant difference in self-comparison before and after treatment between warm acupuncture group(P<0.05).The same goes for the sodium Hyaluronate group.ConclusionFor the treatment for KOA of early stage, warm acupuncture therapy is superior to sodium hyaluronate injection therapy, for the treatment for KOA of middle stage, sodium hyaluronate injection therapy is superior to warm acupuncture therapy. |
