ObjectiveThis topic conducts a randomized controlled study, through comparing the clinical effieacy between routine acupuncture and Qin’s holistic acupuncture in treating depression after stroke with liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type,so as to verify the effectiveness of Qin’s holistic acupuncture and explore a more comprehensive, effective and thorough treatment for post-stroke depression due to liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type.MethodsAll the 60 patients were randomly divided by the SPSS19.0 into two groups:the Qin’s holistic acupuncture group(treatment group)and the conventional acupuncture group(control group). Before the start of’treatment, the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),TCM Symptom Scale and Daily Living Ability Scale(ADL,Barthel Index BJ)were used to evaluate the two groups of patients for treatment. After two courses of treatment, the two groups were again scored using the above three scales. The collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS19.0 sof’tware.Results1.Before treatment, the age, course of disease, gender, disease type and three scale scores of the treatment group are compared with those of the control group, and there is no significant difference(P>0.05)by statistical test, which shows that the two groups are comparable.2.After two courses of treatment, the HAMD score,Barthel Index score and TCM symptom Scale score of the two groups are better than those before treatment, and the diffference is notable(P<0.05).The results show that the two acupuncture methods both have a good effect on depression after apoplexy of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type.It is found that the Barthel index,TCM symptom scale score and the difference of three scales before and after treatment in the treatment group are better than those in the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the curative effect of Qin’s holistic acupuncture is better than that of the routine acupuncture.3.Before treatment, there is no significant difference between the two groups of patients in TCM syndromes like epigastric swelling and tightness, belching breath and sign, eating less, insomnia forgetfulness, fatigue burnout, irritable and good crying(P>0.05).After treatment, the treatment group is superior to the control group in epigastric swelling and tightness, belching breath and sign, insomnia forgetfulness, fatigue burnout, irritable and good crying TCM syndromes, and there are significant differences(P<0.05).The scores of epigastric swelling and tightness, belching breath and sign, eating less, insomnia forgetfulness TCM syndromes in the control group after treatment are significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),but there are no significant differences in the scores of mental fatigue, irritability and good crying(P>0.05).There are significant differences in the scores of the treatment group before and after treatment in the symptoms of epigastric swelling and tightness, belching breath and sign, eating less, insomnia forgetfulness, fatigue burnout, irritable and good crying(P<0.01).4.At the end of the treatment, the overall curative efficacy of the two groups is as follows:Qin’s overall acupuncture group cures 4 cases, markedly effective in 14 cases, improved in 10 cases and 2 cases are of no avail, the total effective rate is 93.33%,the total curative rate reaches 60.00%.In the conventional acupuncture group,1 case is cured,7 cases are markedly effective,16 cases are effective,5 cases are ineffective, the total effective rate is 82.76%and the total curative rate is 27.59%.The total curative rate of the two groups 15 compared through the chi-square test and the difference is particularly signifieant(P<0.05),suggesting that the overall effect of Qin’s overall acupuncture on post-stroke depression of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type is superior to that of routine acupuncture.ConclusionsQin’s holistic acupuncture technique and routine acupuncture both have good effects on post-stroke depression of liver depression and spleen deficiency, but Qin’s overall acupuncture method is superior to routine acupuncture in improving the patient’s mental condition, raising the ability of independent living activities and improving the symptoms of TCM symptoms, and the overall curative effect of Qin’s holistic acupuncture is also better. It indicates that Qin’s holistic acupuncture technique is effective in treating post-stroke depression of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type, which deserves further clinical research and promotion. |
