Objective:1.To observe the level of uric acid and its relationship with metabolic indexes such as body mass index(BMI),blood glucose, blood lipid and pulse wave conduction velocity(ba PWV)in patients with prehypertension(PHT).2.To analyze the correlation between the level of uric acid and pulse wave conduction velocity in different population. Methods:A total of 157 patients with PHT and 123 patients with normal blood pressure between January and May 2018 were selected from the physical examination center and outpatient clinic of our hospital.Collected routine data like age, sex, height and weight. The corresponding body mass index(BMI)was calculated according to the formula.Fasting blood glucose(FPG),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),uric acid and creatinine were tested.Ba PWV was measured by VP-1000,an arteriosclerosis diagnostic device of Colin. The general data and the difference of uric acid and ba PWV between PHT group and normal blood pressure group were compared.Patients with PHT were divided into three groups according to the age classification criteria of the World Health Organization: young(< 45 years old,50cases),middle age(45 years old,63 cases)and old age(>60 years old,44 cases).According to gender, the patients were divided into male group(90 cases)and female group(67 cases).According to other metabolic abnormalities, they were divided into three groups: simple PHT group(n = 23),PHT with hyperrecombination group(n =25),PHT with impaired glucose tolerance group(n = 30)and PHT with dyslipidemia group(n = 39).The grouping of each PHT group was compared.Furthermore, the levels of uric acid and ba PWV in the whole population,PHT population and different age and sex groups were analyzed by Correlation analysis, and the levels of uric acid and ba PWV in PHT group and PHT group were analyzed by multiple linear regression. To investigate the relationship between uric acid level and ba PWV in patients with prehypertension.Results:1.The levels of BMI,fasting blood glucose and TG in PHT group were significantly higher than those in normal blood pressure group(P < 0 05).The levels of uric acid and ba PWV in);PHT group were significantly higher than those in normal blood pressure group(P < 0 05).2.The ba PWV of PHT increased with the increase of age: the ba PWV in the middle-aged group and the old group was significantly higher than that in the young group(P < 0.05),and the ba PWV in the old group was further higher than that in the middle-aged group. In young PHT,the level of ba PWV in patients with hyperuricemia was significantly higher than that in normal uric acid(P < 0 05),but there was no significant difference in ba PWV between normal uric acid and hyperuricemia in middle aged group and old group(P < 0 05).3.There was no significant difference in ba PWV between male and female PHT,but there was no significant difference in ba PWV between normal uric acid group and hyperuricemia group in male and female PHT group.4.When PHT was complicated with overweight, impaired glucose regulation, dyslipidemia and other metabolic abnormalities, the level of uric acid was higher than that in PHT group. The level of uric acid was further higher than that in the group with impaired glucose regulation and dyslipidemia, and the level of ba PWV in PHT group with overweight, impaired glucose regulation and dyslipidemia was higher than that in the simple PHT group. When combined with impaired glucose regulation, the level of ba PWV in overweight group and dyslipidemia group increased(P < 0 05). 5.The level of uric acid in patients with PHT was correlated with age,BMI and HDL-C,but there was no correlation between uric acid and ba PWV.The correlation between uric acid and ba PWV in different age groups of PHT was analyzed by Pearson. In the young group,r < 0.597(P < 0.05).After controlling BMI,blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipids,r = 0.422(P < 0.05).Further correlation analysis showed that there was no correlation between male group and female group(P < 0.05),but there was no correlation between male group and male group(P <0.05).Further correlation analysis showed that r = 0.459(P < 0.05)in female group, but not in male group(P < 0.05).There was no correlation between uric acid and ba PWV in middle-aged and elderly groups.6.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that in PHT group, age, systolic blood pressure, blood glucose and heart rate were the influencing factors of ba PWV,and uric acid did not enter the regression equation. In young PHT population, uric acid was the influencing factor of ba PWV,but in middle-aged group and old group, uric acid was not included in the regression equation of ba PWV.Conclusion:1.Compared with normal people,PHT has considerably more chance of complicating with overweight, impaired glucose regulation, dyslipidemia and other metabolic abnormalities.2.The level of uric acid was correlated with BMI,blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid, among which the level of uric acid was the strongest correlated with BMI.The level of uric acid in PHT was higher than that in normal population. When PHT was complicated with overweight, the level of uric acid increased further.3.ba PWV was significantly correlated with age,and ba PWV increased gradually with the increase of age.The level of ba PWV in PHT was higher than that in normal subjects, indicating an increase in arterial stiffness.4.In young patients with PHT,the level of uric acid was positively correlated with arterial stiffness, but not in the middle-aged and elderly population, suggesting that the comprehensive management of blood pressure and uric acid in young patients with prehypertension is important for the prevention and treatment of long-term cardiovascular and cerebrovascular damage.
