Objective:To study the changes of serum levels of angiotensin II(Ang II),angiotensin converting enzyme 2(ACE2),angiotensin-(1-7)(Ang-(1-7))and soluble human matrix lysin 2(sST2)in patients with atrial fibrillation and to explore their clinical significance. Methods:A total of 104 patients with atrial fibrillation admitted to the Second Clinical Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2018 to November 2018 were enrolled in the experimental group, and 58 patients with non-AF were included in the control group. The basic data of patients with atrial fibrillation and non-atrial fibrillation were collected, including clinical data such as medical history, examination, and laboratory tests. The serum levels of AngII,ACE2,Ang-(1-7)and sST2 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.concentration.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of atrial fibrillation.Pearson correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation between AngII,ACE2,Ang-(1-7)and sST2 in patients with atrial fibrillation. Results:The age and left atrial diameter of the atrial fibrillation group were larger than those of the non-atrial fibrillation group(P < 0.05).Levels of left ventricular ejection fraction, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein in atrial fibrillation group werelower than those in non-atrial fibrillation group(P < 0.05),and serum levels of Ang II,ACE2,Ang-(1-7)and sST2 in atrial fibrillation group were higher than those in non-atrial fibrillation group(P < 0.05),with significant differences.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that left atrial diameter,ACE2 and sST2 were shadow.Risk factors of atrial fibrillation(P < 0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum Ang II and ACE 2 were positively correlated in patients with atrial fibrillation(r = 0.217,P = 0.027);ACE 2 and Ang-(1-7)were positively correlated(r = 0.212,P = 0.031);Ang II and sST2 were positively correlated(r = 0.338,P < 0.001).Conclusion:The serum levels of Ang II,ACE2,Ang-(1-7)and sST2 in patients with atrial fibrillation increased, and the serum levels of Ang II and ACE2 were positively correlated with that of Ang-(1-7).The elevated levels of ACE2 and Ang-(1-7)in patients with atrial fibrillation may play a protective role in atrial fibrillation by antagonizing Ang II.Left atrial diameter,ACE2 and sST2 are risk factors for atrial fibrillation, and sST2 may be one of the markers for predicting atrial fibrillation.
