Objective: To compare the long-term oncological outcomes of Class Ⅰ hysterectomy and Class Ⅲ radical hysterectomy for treatment of stage IB1 cervical cancer after propensity score matching based on SEER database. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on patients with stage IB1 cervical cancer who underwent Class Ⅰ hysterectomy or Class Ⅲ radical hysterectomy in SEER database from January 2004 through December 2010 by PSM analyses.Five-year survival outcomes were assessed by using Kaplan-Meier model.Results:1.429 patients underwent Class Ⅰ hysterectomy and 408 patients underwent Class Ⅲ radical hysterectomy with stage Ib1 cervical cancer were selected.2.After propensity-matched,each group has 351 patients. Before matched the age at diagnosis(years),marital status, grade have significant differences. These differences resolved after propensity matching.3.Class Ⅰ and Class Ⅲ group had similar 5-year overall survival rates(OS)(87.2% vs 89.2%,P = 0.376).Conclusions: Class Ⅰ hysterectomy is an oncological safe alternative to Class Ⅲ radical hysterectomy in treatment of stage IB1 cervical cancer.
