Clinical Study Of Effects Of Modified Zhigancao Decoction In Treatment Of Ventricular Premature Beats In Patients With Non-Organic Heart Disease Of Qi And Yin Deficiency Syndrome

Objective By comparing the clinical outcomes including the total 24-hour ventricular premature beats,the premature ventricular contraction load,the 24-hour total heart beats,TCM singular symptom score,blood pressure,blood lipids,etc.before and after the treatments with the modified Zhigancao Decoction for premature ventricular premature beats,or idiopathic premature ventricular contractions,in patients with non-organic heart disease and evaluating the effects of the modified Zhigancao Decoction in improving the patients’ life quality and its safety,this study could bring out a comprehensive clinical approach of integrated-Chinese-and-Western-medicine for premature ventricular contraction in patients without non-organic heart disease.Methods This study included 60 patients in total,who met the criteria,from the inpatient and outpatient of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2018 to February 2019.The 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups.For the control group,bisoprolol fumarate were administered,while for the experimental group,bismutholone fumarate and modified Zhigancao Decoction were applied.All the patients were treated for 8 weeks.Outcomes include the 24-hour ventricular premature beats,ventricular premature beat load,24-hour total heart beats,TCM singular symptom score,blood pressure,and blood lipids,etc.at the end of the treatment.The data was processed with statistical analysis software and analyzed for experimental purposes.Results 1.With SPSS21.0 analysis,the experimental group and the control group both showed a normal distribution of 24-hour ventricular premature beats,ventricular premature beat load and 24-hour total heart beats.The difference of 24-hour total heart beats after treatment 、the difference of 24-hour total premature beats and ventricular premature beat load have no statistical significance(P>0.05),but the efficacy analysis of two groups of ventricular premature beat,the experimental group is better than the control group.2.After the treatment,the TCM singular symptom score for the experimental group was lower than the control group,which indicates that the experimental group was superior to the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Zhigancao Decoction combined with western medicine can improve the quality of life of patients,who have ventricular premature beats caused by non-organic heart disease and follow the pattern of Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome according to TCM.The experimental group was not superior to the control group in reducing the total number of 24 hours’ premature ventricular beats,but the experimental group was superior to the control group in the efficacy analysis of the two groups’ premature ventricular beats.It has high safety and few side effects.
