Thanks to the popular use of HAART(high active antiretroviral therapy)and the consequent prolonged life span of AIDS patients, the number and the incidence of NADCs(non-AIDS-defing cancers)are changing dramatically these few years, including breast cancer. After 1995 in which HAART are spreaded over the world and made a great difference in improving life times of AIDS patients(by more than 5-10 years). And over these years, the percentage of NADCs in whole cancer burden have been found increased continuously year by year. However, compared with the incidence of breast cancer in non-AIDS patients contemporaneously, the outcome could be inverted—for it’s much less likely for AIDS patients to suffer breast cancer than non-AIDS patients and it’s probably due to the deficit of cancer scanning and the influence that HIV exerts on breast cells. On the other hand,as for AIDS patients, because that HIV in vivo undermines the immune system, chemodurgs and HAART drugs interacts between each other, these peculiar patients take more risks of myelosuppression, wound infection, opportunistic infection and other side effects during the therapy, especially during chemotherapy, while they show higher endurance when undertake endocrine-therapy and molecularly targeted therapy. In a word, the specificity is obvious not only in incidence of breast cancer concurrent AIDS,but also in regimen we take to patients.Cautiousness of drug schedule, dose control and case monitoring could be very important.
