Objective:Childhood obesity,an important risk factor for adult obesity,may lead to high incidence of chronic diseases in adults,seriously affecting the quality of life of the population and increasing the medical burden of each country.Prevention and control of childhood obesity as one of the important means to combat global health threats led by chronic diseases has become a key task of public health in various countries.Children's social environment has long been recognized as an important risk factor for childhood obesity.Social support,as an important part of social networks in the social environment,may lead to childhood obesity.The present study aims to study the association between social support and childhood obesity.Using the mediator variable model to explore the mediating role of children's dietary behavior in the relationship between social support and overweight and obesity and explain the ways of action of childhood overweight and obesity.In order to provide theoretical basis and scientific basis for early prevention and intervention of childhood overweight and obesity.Methods:In the present study,the primary and middle school students and their parents were selected as the research object.Data collection was conducted by means of physical examination and questionnaire survey.First,introduce the Social Support Scale for Children and Adolescents' Health Behavior(CASSS-HB).Secondly,based on the results of the survey data,analyze the demographic information of the overall status of the sample,social support level,overweight and obesity status,dietary behavior,physical activity,etc.Results:1.The KMO value of CASSS-HB was 0.88,Bartlett spherical was 11900(P<0.001),and the factor analysis analyzed a total of 10 common factors with eigenvalues greater than 2,after rotation,the variance of the variance explained.The amounts were 12.46%,10.18%,9.90%,9.31%,9.15%,9.09%,8.53%,8.34%,6.93%,and 4.75%.Cronbach' a is 0.99.The polymerization validity results showed that CASSS-HB was significantly correlated with CASSS(P<0.001).2.A total of 890 subjects who met the study criteria were enrolled in the study,including 412 males,with an average age of 14.58±3.34 years and 717 Han children.There are differences among birthweight,family income,binge eating behavior,and physical activity between overweight and obese children and non-overweight and obese children.3.The social support of health behavior was negatively associated with overweight and obesity in children.(OR=0.68,P<0.001).4.Child binge eating has a partial mediating role in the relationship between social support and childhood overweight and obesity?Conclusion:1.Overweight and obesity in school-age children is affected by birth weight,father's education level,family income,binge eating and physical activity.2.The social support of school-age children is associated with childhood overweight and obesity.The overweight and obesity of children and adolescents who lack social support is more serious.3.Eating behavior can play a mediating role in the relationship between social support and childhood overweight and obesity indicators.
