Research On Excavation And Arrangement Of Acupuncture And Moxibustion Medical Literature In Dunhuang

Objective:(1)To excavate and summarize the relevant data of meridians and acupoints in Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medical literature,and to provide basis for sorting out and classifying Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medical theory;(2)Based on the classification of therapies,the characteristic therapies in Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medical literature are sorted out and refined,and their modern application and transformation are summarized.It’s apply the ancient methods to the present clinical practice and provide the basis for the inheritance and application of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medicine;(3)Based on the excavation and collation of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion literature,this paper summarizes and discusses the medical and historical value of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion literature,and expounds its influence and significance on the development of acupuncture and moxibustion.Methods: Manually retrivaling extant related literature of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion materials in the library or museum or Dunhuang Research Institute in Beijing,Shanghai and Gansu;as well as searching relative literature in China Biology Medicine disc(CBM),China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Science and Technology Database(CSTJ),(VIP)and so on by computer.(1)Medical records of Dunhuang: According to the special records of the naming and location of acupoints and Back-shu points in Dunhuang literature,combined with the representative medical books of later generations and related research,the theory of acupuncture and moxibustion of Dunhuang be sorted out and refined;Besides,this paper classifies and summarizes various acupoint location methods in Dunhuang medical books,and compares them with Tibetan acupoint selection methods;the acupuncture theory of Dunhuang was collated,and various acupoint selection methods in dunhuang medical books were classified and compared with the methods of Tibetan medicine;According to the clinical treatment,the paper classifies and refines the characteristic therapy of acupuncture in Dunhuang medical literature,and summarized their operation characteristics,suitable symptoms and clinical application rules,so as to provide a basis for clinical research and promotion.(2)Modern research: By retrieving and sorting out the clinical application data of Dunhuang medical acupuncture and moxibustion therapy,and evaluating and summarizing the literature,The paper provides ideas and suggestions for the existing problems and improvement of the research.Results:(1)Literature study on Meridian AcupointsDunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion documents are mainly recorded at acupoints,which involve less meridians and collaterals.Summarizing the theory of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medicine is helpful for scholars to understand the evolution process of meridian acupoint theory with the development of the times.(1)Discussion on Meridian TheoryThe method of selecting Back-shu points two inches and three cents apart from the vertebral segments is the earliest representative of the school of single-line bladder meridian.It is also a special way of locating acupoints for moxibustion therapy under the guidance of the theory of airflow channel of bladder meridian based on the distance between back and waist from the middle line of one inch and five cents to three inches,which also provides a basis for the distribution of transverse meridians of human body.(2)Study on the Location and Naming of AcupointsThe early manifestations of traditional acupoint selection methods are specific bone length,finger positioning and acupoint selection by means of specific tools and anatomical marks on the body surface in Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion documents.The special acupoints such as Banmei and Qumei have important academic significance in supplementing the literature of subject of point.The records of ectopic acupoints with the same names as Fengfu,Shuidou and Cigong provide a literature basis for the development and evolution of acupoints with the times.(2)Literature Study on Acupuncture and Moxibustion TherapyThe treatments in Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medical literature include moxibustion therapy,acupuncture therapy,cupping therapy,pricking blood therapy,sticking therapy,guiding method and other therapies(nasal therapy,internal medicine,emetic method,enema method,etc.).It is of great academic value to expand and enrich the clinical diagnosis and treatment methods of acupuncture and moxibustion by exploring,sorting out and summarizing the application rules of various acupuncture and moxibustion therapies.(1)The Characteristics of the TimesThe development of moxibustion therapy,acupuncture therapy and pricking blood therapy are basically consistent with other areas in the same period.They have relatively perfect theoretical system and standardized clinical operation;the guiding ideology of sticking therapy is at the stage of clinical exploration;the development of cupping therapy is obviously lagging behind other areas of the same era,and the guidance method is in the peak period of development in accordance with other regions.(2)The Scope of ApplicationMoxibustion and sticking therapy were the mainstream therapies at that time.The former is suitable for diseases of various departments,while the latter is mainly for diseases of ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology and dermatology.Acupuncture and blood pricking are often used to treat medical diseases;cupping and other characteristic therapies are some clinical adjuvant therapies;guidance method is the main means of disease prevention and health care.Acupuncture and moxibustion therapies(excluding other therapies)are still used in current clinical practice,and the scope of application of each therapy is expanding and increasing.(3)The Modern ResearchModern research on ancient Prescriptions of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion involves moxibustion therapy,blood-pricking therapy and sticking therapy,among which sticking therapy is the most popular one.The research shows that the clinical efficacy of the ancient Prescriptions of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion is affirmative,but the existing research involves fewer originals,smaller sample size and less rigorous design of the research program,which make its clinical application value need to be further explored.Therefore,the focus of future research is to carry out high-quality clinical research related to the original prescription.Conclusions:(1)Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion literature contains less information about meridians,but the method of selecting Back-shu points two inches and three cents apart from the vertebral segments is the earliest record of single-line bladder meridian;The special acupoints and acupoint selection methods recorded in it have important academic significance for the early acupoint research;There are many acupuncture and moxibustion therapies in Dunhuang medical literature.Most of them have strong clinical practicability and have important clinical value in enriching and expanding the methods of diagnosis and treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion.(2)Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medicine has strong characteristics of the times,academia and region,Its theoretical and clinical value need to be further explored and expanded in order to better promote the inheritance and development of Dunhuang acupuncture and moxibustion medicine,as well as to provide an important literature basis for the construction and improvement of the theoretical system of acupuncture and Mmoxibustion.
