Investigation On Myopia Status And Influencing Factors Among Primary School Students In Karamay

Objective: In the context of the current rapid increase in myopia among elementary school students across the country,a survey of the basic situation of myopia among primary school students in Karamay City.To understand the epidemiological characteristics and related influencing factors of myopia among primary school students in Karamay,and to provide reference for the prevention and control of myopia in primary school students.Methods: The stratified cluster sampling method was used to investigate the myopia situation and influencing factors of primary school students in a district of Karamay.The vision was measured by a professional physician.The questionnaire was filled out by the parents of the students.The influencing factors of primary school students were collected,and the results were statistically analyzed using SPSS23.0 software.Results: The overall myopia detection rate of primary school students in grades one to six in a district of Karamay is 33%.Myopia before or after school,the distance from books when reading,the myopia of at least one parent above 600 degrees,primary schoolchildren under two years old,whether they like outdoor activities Whether the monthly household income is more than 10,000 yuan,whether reading only using table lamps or ceiling lamps,whether there is a habit of reading while lying at home,the frequency of outdoor activities is different,and whether the homework time is less than 30 minutes.Myopia detection rate is statistically significant.Difference;by Binary logistic regression analysis found that no myopia(OR = 0.118)before school,and no habit of reading at home(OR= 0.460)were protective factors for the occurrence of myopia in primary school students(P <0.05).A single lamp(OR = 1.814)and family monthly income of more than 10,000 yuan(OR= 3.414)and dislike outdoor activities(OR = 3.206)were risk factors for myopia in primary school students(P <0.05).Binary logistic regression The analysis found that no myopia(OR=0.126)before school,no single lamp(OR=0.683)in normal reading,no habit of reading while lying at home(OR=0.482),and a monthly household income of less than 5000(OR=0.634)were elementary school students The protective factors of myopia(P<0.05),and dislike of outdoor activities(OR=2.477)were the risk factors of myopia in primary school students(P<0.05).Conclusion: The overall myopia rate of primary school students in a district of Karamay City is lower than the national average.However,the prevention and control of myopia in primary school students should not be ignored.Parents should pay more attention to the students’ vision to ensure the visual health of the students.
