| Background:Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract,with a high incidence and poor prognosis.Most of the cases are advanced and easy to relapse after surgery.Early diagnosis of colorectal cancer and prevention of recurrence and metastasis are important means to prolong the survival period and improve the quality of life of patients with colorectal cancer.The role of traditional Chinese medicine is becoming more and more prominent.The theory of TCM constitution and Theory of cancer toxin are of great significance to the prevention and treatment of diseases.At present,there is still a lack of clinical research on TCM constitution of colorectal cancer patients prone to distant metastasis and the distribution characteristics of cancer toxin.As an objective life phenomenon,TCM constitution has an important influence on the generation of cancer toxin.It is of great significance to analyze the correlation between TCM constitution and cancer toxin in colorectal cancer patients.Objective:Through the clinical research,the author analyzed the common TCM constitution,the distribution of cancer toxin and the correlation between the constitution and cancer toxin of colorectal cancer,so as to give play to the theory of TCM constitution theory and the theory of cancer toxin pathogenesis to guide the clinical treatment of colorectal cancer.Methods:Patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer in the Department of Oncology and Surgical Oncology of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected from January 2019 to January 2020.To design the general information form of colorectal cancer patients,the cancer toxin classification and TCM constitution questionnaire,and truly fill in the patients’ general information disease and treatment status,living habits and TCM constitution classification and determination form.Statistical software SPSS 25.0 was used for data analysis to obtain the main types of TCM constitution and the distribution of cancer toxin,and the correlation between constitution and cancer toxin was analyzed.Results:1.General data:a total of 223 cases of colorectal cancer patients were collected in this study,among which 127(57.00%)were colon cancer patients and 96(43.00%)were rectal cancer patients.There were 133 male patients(59.60%)and 90 female patients(40.40%),the ratio of male to female was 1.47:1.The youngest age was 24 years old,the oldest 85 years old,and the largest age group was 50-79 years old,with 193 cases(86.54%).TNM staging stage Ⅰ in 19 cases(8.52%),stage Ⅱ 73 cases(32.73%),stage Ⅲ 62 cases(27.80%),stage Ⅳ of 69 cases(30.94%).2.TCM constitution distribution:the two constitutions with the highest frequency of basic constitution types were blood-stasis and phlegm-dampness,which were 1 80 times(about 3 1.41%)and 110 times(about 19.19%),respectively.The frequency of phlegm-dampness and blood-stasis were the highest among the two composite constitutions,84(about 21.00%),followed by qi-deficiency and blood-stasis 79(about 19.85%).3.Correlation between TCM constitution and age and gender:qi-deficiency and blood-stasis in colorectal cancer patients were correlated with gender distribution(P<0.05);Qi-deficiency and Yang-deficiency were correlated with age distribution(P<0.05).4.Correlation between TCM constitution and treatment status and disease years:there was no correlation between constitution and treatment in recent 1 year(P>0.05);Previous treatment was correlated with qi-stagnation quality(p<0.05),but not with residual constitution type(p>0.05).There was no correlation between TCM constitution and disease years(P>0.05).5.Correlation between TCM constitution and living habits:drinking frequency was correlated with Yang-deficiency quality and damp-heat quality(P<0.05);There was a correlation between the frequency of exercise and the quality of Yin-deficiency and phlegm-dampness(P<0.05).The frequency of insomnia was correlated with qi-deficiency quality,qi-stagnation quality and special diathesis(P<0.05).6.Correlation between TCM constitution and metastasis:qi-deficiency,yang-deficiency,qi-deficiency and phlegm-dampness were correlated with distant metastasis(P<0.05).7.Distribution of cancer poison types:the main type of cancer poison in colorectal cancer was stasis 176 times(about 41.90%),followed by dampness 101 times(about 24.04%).Cold toxin,phlegm toxin and heat toxin were more common in middle and advanced colorectal cancer(P<0.05).Among the combined malignant poisons,wet poisons,stasis poisons,and heat poisons were the most common ones,which were 49 cases(about 21.97%)and 45 cases(20.18%),respectively.8.Correlation between TCM constitution and cancer toxin:yang-deficiency and special diathesis of colorectal cancer patients were related to cold toxicity(P<0.05);The phlegm-dampness and dampness-heat were related to the phlegm toxin and the dampness toxin(P<0.05).Yin-deficiency and blood-stasis were related to blood-stasis toxin(P<0.05).Yin-deficiency and dampness-heat were related to heat toxicity(P<0.05).Conclusion(findings in this study):1.The majority TCM constitution of colorectal cancer patients were blood-stasis,phlegm-dampness,and the patients tended to be aged 50-79 years old,suggesting that blood-stasis and phlegm-dampness are susceptible to colorectal cancer.2.Whether the previous treatment and living habits have an impact on the constitution type of colorectal cancer patients,suggesting that good living habits are conducive to improving the constitution.3.Qi-deficiency,Yang-deficiency and The combined constitution of qi-deficiency with phlegm-dampness is a dangerous constitution for distant metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer.4.Stasis and dampness toxin are the main types of colorectal cancer.Cold,phlegm and heat toxin are more likely to appear in advanced colorectal cancer.Dampness and stasis toxin,stasis and heat toxin are the common types of compound cancer toxin in colorectal cancer.5.The TCM constitution is correlated with the type of cancer toxin,and the Yang-deficiency and special diathesis are correlated with the cold toxin.The dampness and heat-phlegm are related to the phlegm toxin and the dampness toxin.Yin-deficiency and blood-stasis are related to blood-stasis toxin.Yin-deficiency,damp-heat are related to heat toxin. |
