A Study On The Admission Qualification And Job Description Of Chinese Applicants For “Nurse Prescribing Right”

ObjectiveMake clear the admission qualification of the applicants of “nurse prescribing right”,and form the job description of the applicants of “nurse prescribing right”(including the name,content and prescription form of “nurse prescribing right”).Methods1.Through literature review and semi-structured interview,the expert letter questionnaire was prepared.Firstly,a research team was set up to review the literature and review the contents of “nurse prescribing right” at home and abroad.Nine clinical nurses,six nursing managers and five clinicians were selected as subjects for semi-structured interviews.According to the results of literature review and semi-structured interview,a preliminary expert letter consultation questionnaire was prepared,and 5 experts were selected by the convenient sampling method for pre-consultation.A formal expert letter consultation questionnaire was formed by revising the expert opinions of the recovered questionnaire.2.Confirm the admission qualification and job description of “nurse prescribing right” applicant through the expert letter.The purpose sampling method was used to select 25 nursing experts,10 medical experts,and 10 medical and administrative management experts from all over the country.Revise the questionnaire items according to each round of expert opinions until the expert opinions are collected.The results of expert consultation were statistically analyzed to determine the admission qualification and job description of the applicants of “nurse prescribing right”.Results 1.Semi-structured interviewsIn this study,5 subject groups including application qualification,nurse prescription,training assessment,impact,prospect and problem were selected,including 14 subjects and 329 meaningful statements.2.Admission qualification of applicants for “nurse prescribing right”Experts for full-time undergraduate education,professional title for the charge nurse,the minimum length of specialist work for 5 years,the highest rate of recognition in tertiary hospitals.About the applicant’s training,the highest approval ratings is carried out by the health administrative department at or above the provincial level 3 ～ 6 months of full-time offline training,the training content including “prescription management method”,the common diseases of the therapeutic principles,commonly used drugs in specialized subject knowledge and common adverse drug reactions and the handling measures and emergency knowledge and clinical practice.On the assessment and certification of applicants,the highest rate of expert recognition is by the provincial health administrative departments organized by the theory and practice of the examination,the national health and health commission unified certification,assessment once every 3 years,5 years and recertification once again.3.Job description of applicants for “nurse prescribing right”Through two rounds of expert consultation,the name “nurse prescribing right” was determined.27 nursing intervention prescriptions,15 inspection prescriptions,21 medical device prescriptions and 35 drug prescriptions were determined.Among them,non-drug prescriptions tend to be independent prescription forms,drug prescriptions tend to be supplementary prescription forms,and some prescriptions are similar in the form of two prescriptions.4.Reliability and representativeness of expert consultationThe consulting experts in this study have good professional and regional representativeness.The consulting experts come from 18 provinces and municipalities in China.72% of them have a master’s degree or above,95% of them have a senior professional title,and 82% of them have a mentor qualification.The recovery rates of the two rounds were 91.1% and 95.1%,and the expert authority coefficient was 0.858.ConclusionThis study determined the admission qualification of “nurse prescribing right” applicants and the name of “nurse prescribing right”,and determined the content and form of prescription that can be issued by nurses.Experts are supportive of “nurse prescribing right”.The results of expert reliability analysis show that the research result has good credibility.The admission qualification and job description of the applicants for “nurse prescribing right” can provide reference for the development of “nurse prescribing right” in China.
