The Influence Of Interpersonal Trust On News Choice Preferences | | Posted on:2021-01-31 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X Sun | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2404330614955156 | Subject:Mental Health | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objectives Will be utilized to explore the impact of Interpersonal trust on news selection preference to provide suggestion for purifying report environment and constructing trust society.Methods This research was divided into two Experiments.108 students from an university in Hebei province participated in the study,the trust level was evaluated by Interpersonal trust scale,and the high Interpersonal trust level Group and low Interpersonal trust level Group were determined according to the scale score.In addition,we used social news as material.Eye tracking technology was applied to record the eye movement during news reading.In Experiment 1,the selection preference of individuals for positive and negative news and whether Interpersonal trust level of individuals is related to preference were studied,2(Interpersonal trust level: high,low)×2(news nature: positive,negative)combined design was adopted to explore the relations between Interpersonal trust level and selection preference for news reading.In Experiment 2,in which the combined design of 2(Interpersonal trust level: high,low)×2(blogger type: media authentication,individual authentication)×2(attention: high,low)was employed.Results 1 The subjects’ total fixation duration and fixation count index of negative news were higher than positive news(P<0.05).2 The low Interpersonal trust group showed significant difference in reading positive and negative news(P<0.001),the attention of negative news is higher than that of positive news,while there was no significant difference in high Interpersonal trust group(P>0.05).3 Subjects’ total fixation time and duration and fixation count index of media authentication media microblogs are higher than those of personal authenticated microblogs(P<0.05).4 The subjects’ fixation time and duration and fixation count index of high attention bloggers were higher than those of low attention bloggers(P<0.001).5 The low Interpersonal trust group showed significant difference in reading different types of bloggers in low Interpersonal trust group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in high Interpersonal trust group(P>0.05).6 The low Interpersonal trust group showed significant difference in reading bloggers’ microblogs with high attention and bloggers’ microblogs with low attention(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in high trust group(P>0.05).Conclusions 1 Negative news is the audience’s main choice preference.The group with low level of Interpersonal trust has more obvious preference for negative news,while the group with high level of Interpersonal trust has no obvious difference in attention degree between positive and negative news.2 Individuals show preference for reading mediacertified microblogs and microblogs with high attention.The group with low level of Interpersonal trust has more obvious preference for this preference,while there is little difference in the degree of attention paid by the group with high level of Interpersonal trust to various bloggers’ microblog information.Figure17;Table23;Reference 85... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Interpersonal trust, News, Information source Preference, Eye movement | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
