Case Study On Social Work In Patients With Mild Postpartum Depression

After the national policy of opening up the second child in an all-round way,the physical and mental health of mothers has become the focus of social attention.After childbirth,women are prone to postpartum depression due to the changes of hormone secretion and social role.Postpartum depression is a kind of comprehensive postpartum mental symptoms,which is characterized by pessimism,irritability,crying,and even self mutilation,suicide and infanticide.Postpartum depression can do great harm to puerpera,newborn and family.Postpartum depression is more common in postpartum women.In recent years,it has been widely discussed in academia.Mild postpartum depression is the most common among parturients,and it is the easiest to recover if treated in time.For the intervention treatment of mild postpartum depression,some studies have shown that the treatment has been extended from the fields of medicine and nursing to the field of social work.Under the guidance of the theory of social work,this paper adopts the method and technology of case intervention to evaluate the needs of the case owner,find out the problems to be solved,and formulate the service objectives and plans.In the process of case service,a total of six intervention services were carried out.From the aspects of maternal mental health,husband wife relationship,mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship.To visit the exhibition forum for the case owner and his / her family,help the case owner to treat mild postpartum depression,change his / her mentality,solve conflicts,and ease the family atmosphere.The intervention effect of mild postpartum depression was analyzed by comparing the scores of depression scale in different stages.After the intervention service,the self rating Depression Scale score of the case owner decreased by 18 points and returned to the normal level,which indicated that the mild postpartum depression symptoms of the case owner were greatly relieved.This case intervention study has achieved the purpose of relieving and treating the case of postpartum depression,which is of great significance to improve the social work intervention research in women’s postpartum depression.
