Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the treatment of sphenopalatine ganglion in patients with allergic rhinitis at different ages.Methods:In this study,a total of 58 patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into three groups according to the traditional Chinese age classification criteria,including 20 patients in the youth group(6~29 years old),18 patients in the middle-aged group(30~39 years old),and 20 patients in the middle-aged group(40~70 years old).In accordance with professor Li Xinwu’s "sphenoid palatal ganglion acupuncture",the treatment frequency was once a week,each time only one side was stuck,the left and right points were selected alternately,and a total of 6 times were treated.As before,at the end of treatment,treatment after 3 months to assess point,accompanies by nasal and nasal symptom scores and nasal mucosa inflammation related quality of life questionnaire scores,"rhinitis weekly diary" as the main observation indexes,through the "weekly rhinitis records" total score to determine the effect of working points,evaluation of acupuncture butterfly palate ganglion ganglion treatment for different age paragraph the clinical curative effect of patients with allergic rhinitis.Result:(1)Influence on clinical symptomsThe end of therapy on the patients,according to the results of all age groups and 3 months after treatment,nasal symptom scores(TNSS),nose accompanying symptom score(TNNSS)are lower than before treatment,all have significant difference statistically significant(P<0.01),but there was no statistically significant difference between different age groups to compare(P> 0.05),said acupuncture butterfly palatal nerve energy-saving effectively improve allergic rhinitis nasal symptoms in patients with various ages and nasal accompany symptoms,and clinical curative effect is not affected by age.(2)Impact on quality of lifeAccording to the results of the Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ),at the end of treatment and 3 months after treatment,there were statistically significant differences in thetotal RQLQ scores and scores in all dimensions of patients in all age groups compared with those before treatment(P<0.01),suggesting acupuncture butterfly palatal nerve energy-saving significantly improve allergic rhinitis patients quality of life of all ages.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in most of the indicators(P>0.05).Only the score of non-nasal or ocular symptoms in the middle and old age group at the end of treatment was statistically significant compared with that in the young and middle-aged groups(P<0.05),which results showed that acupuncture of sphenopalatine ganglion had a significant effect on improving the quality of life of patients in various age groups in a relatively long period,especially on the improvement of non-nasal or ocular symptoms in the middle and old age group.There was no statistically significant effect of grouping * time on RQLQ total score and scores in each dimension,show time and no interaction between group,different time points(before and after treatment,after treatment for 3 months)the curative effect of varying according to age group,by acupuncture of the sphenopalatine ganglion in patients with AR has nothing to do with the age size is the improvement in quality of life.(3)The effect on the point of effectAccording to the analysis results of "rhinitis weekly diary",the data differences of all age groups at each time point before and after treatment were statistically significant(P time point<0.01),indicating that the total score of "weekly rhinitis records" of all age groups changed significantly with the accumulation of treatment times.There was no significant interaction between the treatment time point and the group(P time point * group >0.05),indicating that the change of therapeutic effect with the accumulation of treatment times was unrelated to age stratification,and acupuncture of spheno-palatine ganglion showed no significant difference in the onset time of patients with allergic rhinitis in different age groups.Conclusion:(1)Acupuncture of spheno-palatine ganglion can significantly treat and improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of allergic rhinitis patients in different age groups;(2)The long-term effect of acupuncture on sphenoid palatal ganglion on patients with allergic rhinitis in different age groups is stable(3 months of follow-up after treatment);(3)Based on the available clinical data,there was no significant difference in the clinical efficacy of sphenopalatine ganglion acupuncture treatment for allergic rhinitis in all age groups.
