The Confucian classics studies are the interpretation of the Confucian classics,also the core of condensed Chinese dynasties orthodox ideology.The study of Confucian classics in Southern Dynasties occupies a very unique position in the whole history of Confucian Classics studies.Since the Southern Song and Southern Qi witnessed a kind of atmosphere to honor the Confucianism and thus provided the basic roof of the revival of Confucian classics studies,the self-cultivation of Confucianism,the widely promotion and the uncontrolled academic climate from Wu emperor of Southern Liang Dynasty declared the success of Confucian classics studies Renaissance.And the most outstanding representative is Huang Kan and his Lun Yu Yi Shu(the Commentaries of the Analects of Confucius).This very book gathered the commentaries of the Analects of Confucius together,which imprinted the thought of Buddhism and Taoism,so that can it reflects the essence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism at that time.As the existent earliest commentaries of" Analects of Confucius " in the history and the exclusive one in Southern Dynasties,Lun Yu Yi Shu represented the Confucian classics studies in Southern Dynasties and continued the career of Confucian classics studies.In the meantime,the author Huang Kan conveyed some idea about the doctrine of the mean Confucian and civilization created a far-reaching influence in the latter centuries.The concept of doctrine of the mean Confucian included three main statements:the value of" harmony but not Sameness ",the religious conception of "act in a balanced way " and temperamental notion of "through harmony to mean Confucian ".The ideas of civilization are mainly concentrated in filial piety,balanced estimate and correct path for politics.This book is not only established in the ruins of the collapse of discipline and the decline of Confucianism in late Han Dynasty,but also burst out of the distinctive characteristics of that time while the Buddhism and Taoism began to confluent with Confucianism.It has such a great influence on the latter centuries and played a magnificent role of "open " and "transition".
