| In recent years, the unhealthy life style has been threatening the children.Research shows that the obesity rate for Chinese children increased from 1.5%to 12.6%during 1989-1997,while the overweight population increased from 14.6%to 28.6%.Among many reasons causing obesity, the most important one is diet. The parents, the major caregivers of children’s diet, directly determine their diet environment. The parents influence the children’s diet behavior via their feeding behavior and style, while improper feeding behavior and style may result in rapid increase or decrease in children’s weight due to children’s lack of cognition about own hunger and satiety. In daily life, the difference in cognition among parents leads to failure of a great many parents to correctly perceive children’s weight,so it is of great importance to ascertain the cognition mode of parents in perceiving children’s weight.Based on the research of predecessors, research a chose 3-13 years old children’s parents,549(277father,272 mother),applied to feed the children questionnaire(CFQ)and caregiver feed style scale(CFSQ)survey, analyzed the parents to the child experience weight perception, feeding style, the relationship between feeding behavior. The study found that parents were more likely to use authoritarian(35.9%)and indulgent(32.7%)feeding styles. For children of different genders, there is a significant difference between parents’ responsibility for their children. In authoritative feeding styles, children with normal weight gain the most.Perceived to parents of the child’s weight, feeding style, analysis of the relationship between feeding behavior and the relationship of the further study found that parents’ feeding style significantly affect their feeding behavior, and the mediation effect of weight is not significant. The second research application of eye movement technology research, based on body image perception, examines the parents in the perception of child weight of eye movement trajectory, and analyze the parents in the perception of weight when the eye movement characteristics, feeding style and the relationship between feeding behavior. It turns out that parents are most concerned about the child’s chest and abdomen when they perceive their child’s weight. For the abdomen and chest, the mother’s gaze was significantly longer than that of the father’s gaze, and the father’s return was significantly higher than that of the mother. However, the father’s return choice path was significantly longer than that of the mother. In addition, combining behavioral data and eye-movement data,it was found that the feeding behavior of parents significantly influenced their feeding behavior, while the mediating effect of eye movement characteristics was not significant. To sum up,this study found significant differences in feeding behavior and feeding patterns between parents, and this difference was also reflected in the perception of children’s weight. While parents in the perception of weight when there are differences in information processing model, for the attention from different parts of the body, although there is a significant difference, but in the sense of child weight, not in one part of the specific weight for standard perception children.Parents’ feeding style influences their feeding behavior, but the mediating effect on children’s weight perception is not significant. |
