Overseas Chinese teaching is limited by objective conditions.The Chinese curriculum teaching of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe also has the problems of over-traditional pedagogy and low student enthusiasm for learning.Therefore,exploration and application of new pedagogy is particularly important.How to optimize the teaching of Chinese courses,to break the limitations of the traditional teaching model,to stimulate students’ intrinsic learning motivation and how to build a platform for students to participate in the experience and to internalize the deep meaning of the Chinese curriculum content,these are the problems that need to be solved urgently and also an important research point of this article.This paper proposes the necessity of the implementation of experiential Chinese curriculum teaching based on the current situation of Chinese teaching and the actual conditions of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe.This necessity is based on the fact that the traditional teaching model cannot fully satisfy the development of students’ Chinese comprehensive ability.If this problem cannot be solved effectively,it will influence the long-term sustainable development of Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe.This article focuses on the experiential teaching of Chinese courses.This involves the analysis of the theoretical basis and the summary of the necessity of implementation.Taking the Chinese teaching at the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe as an example,gave macro and microscopic guidance and advice from four teaching strategies and three teaching techniques combined with specific teaching cases.Then the experiential teaching theory is used as a basis to analyze and evaluate a complete lesson plan.Finally,based on the case study,based on the research of this paper,the implementation of experiential teaching of Chinese curriculum was considered,and the analysis and discussion were given on the misunderstandings that should be avoided in the implementation process.This article conducts related research on the experiential teaching design of the Chinese curriculum by combining with the real teaching cases of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe.It aims to provide a reference for improving the problems and problems existing in Chinese teaching in the Confucius Institute at the University of Zimbabwe.The teaching model provides some effective and practical references and suggestions for Chinese language teachers.It also hopes to improve the current status of Chinese language teaching in a certain extent,combines the advantages of traditional teaching patterns with the advantages of experiential teaching order to improve the quality and effectiveness of Chinese language teaching.
