This study is based on the dual factor model of mental health(DFM)proposed by Greenspoon and Saklofske.Through the longitudinal follow-up study, the stability and dynamics of the mental health status of each group's members are investigated. The effects of subjective well-being,life events and academic achievements on the dynamic changes of the mental health status of each group's members are discussed, for the rural poor students. This paper is a traceable empirical study in the rural general and poor students. The subjects in this study consisted of 472 rural junior middle school students, including 230 poor students and 242 non poor students. They used Mantak Yuen(2002)revised life satisfaction scale,Qiu Lin et al.(2008)revised positive emotion Negative Emotion Scale(Chinese version),Gong Xu and Xie Xiyao(2010)revised Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, and Liu Xianchen and Liu Lianqi(1997)revised youth and youth scale According to the two factor model of mental health, their mental health status can be divided into four categories: complete mental health, susceptible, symptomatic but self satisfied and ill patients. To explore the distribution and characteristics of four groups of people, andto conduct a follow-up 6 months later,to investigate the stability and dynamics of the mental health status of members in each group.Through the investigation of the psychological state of the poor students in rural junior middle school, this study found that:(1)In the first test, the proportion of the students with complete mental health is the largest(64.3%),the proportion of the susceptible is 7.0%,the proportion of the symptomatic but self satisfied is 20.9%,and the proportion of the sick is 7.8%;in the follow-up test, the proportion of the students with complete mental health is 62.2%,the proportion of the susceptible is12.6%,the proportion of the symptomatic but self satisfied is 7.0% The proportion of foot patients was 21.3%,and only 3.9% of them had disease;(2)The stability degree of middle school students in four kinds of mental health groups of rural junior middle school poor students was different, among them, the stability of complete mental health group was the highest, the stability of susceptible group and symptomatic but satisfied group was lower, and the stability of disease group was the lowest;(3)Learning pressure and other two factors in negative events predicted the rural junior middle school poor students The transformation to the bad is significant. In the negative events, the loss and adaptation factors have a significant effect on the prediction of poor rural junior high school students to a better direction.(4)In the two tests,it was found that there was no significant difference in life satisfaction, positive emotion score, negative emotion score, depression, anxiety and stress dimensions between the poor and the non poor students in rural junior high school, but the score of the poor students in the loss dimension in the life event scale was significantly higher than that of the non poor students; There are significant differences in the dynamics of the four groups of mental health between the poor students and the non poor students in rural junior middle school. The proportion of the susceptible and the sick of the non poor students is higher than that of the poor students.
