The Study On Tai Jingnong’s Thoughts Of Classical Literature

As a literature critic who is expert in both knowledge and art of the twentieth century,Tai Jingnong has made remarkable achievements in novel creation,classical literature rasearch and folklore textual.Because of the seperation of the cross-strait,the academiccircles of Chinese mainland gradually paid attention to his movel creation since 1980 s,while relating little on his classical literature research achievements and academic thoughts.This article focuses on the academic achievements of his classical literature,trying to discuss the academic thoughts of his literary criticism and the study of the literature history.The full text consists of five chapters,starting from his early school experience and trying to ensure what effect will this experience have on his establishment of academic conception and the formation of academic methods.And then discuss his thoughts of poetics.Tai Jingnong did have a clear and independent pursuit on the interpretion and criticsm of poetry.Through investigating and refining his poetics thoughts and the aesthetic view of poetry,you can see the influence of Lu Xun on him and his preference for literature in the late Ming Dynasty.Tai Jingnong is a literature historian with clear historical view of literature.Before writing the history of literature,he systematically reviewed the ways of researching literary history and wrote The methodology of Chinese Literature History.Therefore,his literary history thought is quite worthy of being concerned.During him study in the Chinese National Culture Colledge of Peking University,Tai Jingnong took a part-time job in the Custom Investigation Society and ever accepted Chang Hui’s invitation to collect folk songs in his hometown HuoQiu.So he had a deep research on folklore and consciously applied folklore research thinking to the study of classical literature.It enriches the research perspective and research means of classical literature.For this reason,the purpose and value of this paper is to review Tai Jingnong’s research experience and research results of his life,explore the hidden academic thoughts and academic methods,and reflect the academic significance.
