| This paper starts with the study of linguistic typology and examines the effect of the mother tongue’s word order on the acquisition of Chinese "Bi" construction of SVO background students and SOV background students.It finds that the mother tongue word order will have a certain influence,and it is easier for SVO foreign students to acquire the Chinese "Bi" construction than the SOV students.The correct rate of SVO students is higher.The native language order will have a significant effect on the acquisition of the sentence pattern 10(A not+Bi+B+result)in the primary and intermediate stages,but has no significant effect in the advanced stage.Secondly,the characteristics of the interlanguage of the two types of native-language learners are investigated.The common points are: the sentence patterns with high usage rate are: sentence pattern 1(A+Bi+B + adjective)and sentence pattern 6(A+Bi+B+adjective+the fuzzy measure complement);the higher correct rate of the sentence pattern 5(A+Bi+B+adjective+exact measure complement)and sentence 6,the lower correct rate is sentence pattern 2(A+Bi+B+ verb + object).The differences are: SVO background students use the lowest sentence rate is sentence pattern 8(A+Bi+B+more,less,early,late+verb+measure complement),SOV background students use the lowest rate is sentence pattern 4(A+Bi+B+verb object+activity+De+degree complement).These are complicated sentence structures with complex semantics.Moreover,the correct rate of SVO background students’ sentence pattern 10 is much higher than that of SOV students.The sentence pattern with the largest difference between the two is the sentence pattern 10.Again,the error analysis found that there are more misorders mainly due to the negative transfer of the mother tongue.The misordered errors mainly include "A+Bi+B+not+adjective" and "A+ Bi+B+(precise/fuzzy)measure complement+adjective".The investigation found that the major factors affecting the acquisition of Chinese "Bi" construction by foreign students are: the migrate of the mother tongue language,the migration of the target language knowledge,and the marked effect of the Chinese "Bi" construction.Finally,it is suggested that the teaching of Chinese "Bi" construction should do a good job of linguistic contrast between Chinese and foreign students’ native language.It should be more targeted in teaching subjects and should pay attention to the teaching of intermediate stage in the learning stage. |
