With the rapid development of the economy and One Belt and One Road Initiatives,English as an international work language plays an increasingly important role in the world in recent years.So it turns to be very necessary and vital to improve listening and speaking competence of students.The New National English Curriculum Standards(2017)points out that language skill is one of the core competences of English subject,which includes the ability of understanding,comprehension,and the sense of language using in different circumstances.However,the inadequacy of real language occasions to use as well as practice English leads to the result and teaching strategy which classroom teaching is the most important meanings of English input &output,if it’s not all.Considering the selection of sampling place,Hanzhong City,which locates in the Southern part of Shaanxi Province has all the typical features and characteristics of the northwest inland cities.The representativeness of sampling cities and schools ensure the value and applied range of this study.Due to the above reasons,the author focuses on investigating the extant problems in Senior high English teachers’ oral output in classroom,trying to reveal the problems and putting forward some suggestions to improve it.To complete the task,the following methods are applied: literature,interview,questionnaire,classroom observation,data analysis and mathematical method.The data has been divided into three aspects: language characteristic,functional characteristics and interaction features of English teachers’ output.According to the statistics and analysis,it shows that there still remain the following problems: illogical and verbose,grammatical errors,unnecessary repetition;fragment emotion and teaching functions,not confidence of English oral speaking;monotonous teachers’ feedback,boring questions,excess teacher talk.Finally,the author puts forward five constructive suggestions: to enhance the “Student-centered” teaching concept;to strengthen the professional of English teachers’ oral output;to improve the rationality of teaching designs;complete the construction of teachers rank;to encourage the idea of lifelong learning.Hopefully provides the Senior high English teachers strategy to improve the quality of classroom oral output,to cultivate students’ listening and speaking skills,and to promote the education’s development in the similar areas of China.
