A Study On The Dimension Translation Of Chinese Temperature Words From The Perspective Of Cognitive Linguistics

Temperature words refer to words that mark the concept of temperature,the concepts associated with temperature,and abstract concepts that are derived from the meaning of temperature.In the following introduction,this article will be four basic temperature words "cold" "Hot" "Temperature" "cool" and some of the basic vocabulary derived from it as the research object,from the perspective of cognitive linguistics with the help of a wealth of corpus in the Han Uyghur temperature words to carry out a more in-depth study.Through the selection and induction of the corpus,it is found that the use range of temperature words is very wide,which can produce a variety of meanings with the different cognitive environment of people.To a certain extent,this conforms to the principle of language economy,but also for people’s communication and communication has brought great convenience.This is the temperature word such words in the use of language to show some advantages,in addition to,there are still some problems,these problems are reflected in the translation,due to a variety of reasons,people in the translation of temperature words have appeared in different ways.This is also some of the phenomena that will be explained in the article.Through this study,it is found that when the temperature words listed in this paper are placed in the framework of metaphor,sense and empathy theory,the translation results are not the same by adopting different translation methods and translation strategies,but in the vast majorityof cases,they are still in a consistent state.This depends mainly on the same psychological cognitive mechanism between the communities.On the contrary,the difference of translation is mainly reflected in the semantic vacancy and the corresponding phenomenon between words and words,which is also a common problem that most translations will encounter.All ethnic groups live in a common environment,have the same cultural heritage,but also have the basic same psychological cognitive mechanism,so according to the translation of the original text of the understanding,in the translation of the basic is the most familiar translation methods of literal and paraphrase,at the same time,In the process of free translation,some translation techniques are also applied to the expansion of meaning and the narrowing of meaning,which embodies the diversity of the use of temperature words from the perspective of translation.
