Robert Schumann(1810-1856)was a great romantic pianist and music critic in the nineteenth century.He showed many talents in music,poetry,drama and so on from his childhood.Most of his piano works were created before the age of 30.He died young and frustrated,with passionate,sensitive and fantastic personality.Romantic spirit was mainly influenced by family and society.Idealism and Romantic literature shaped his musical style.Schumann's most famous piano works are Animal Carnival,Aberg Variations,Childhood Scene,etc.Schumann's unique music style also brought immortal influence to the later development of piano music creation.Based on Schumann's life and background of his creation,this paper provides his own opinions on the theoretical basis of the analysis of the music creation characteristics and performance techniques of the song.Through the actual performance,literature analysis and communication with the instructor to study Schumann's piano suite,so that we can better grasp the direction of performance.This paper studies Schumann's life and age as well as the creation characteristics of the suite,analyses the unique music style,rich harmony color and the performing techniques of each work,and compares the different versions of the three pianists,Horowitz,Agridge and Zhang Haochen,so as to better study the piano suite.Playing style,so that they can better play the piano suite,and let themselves more clearly grasp the romantic period of Schumann piano suite unique musical style of playing techniques.
