Recently,against a background of advocating reading literacy,the research on reading teaching comes into people's vision again.The United States has the advanced educational thoughts and educational methods,which can be studied and referenced is of great significance to promote our country's reading education.This paper adopts literature study,content analysis,comparative analysis and case method,and puts forward suggestions and measures to improve our reading teaching based on the differences and similarities,concluded through the analysis and comparison in three aspects about curriculum criterion,reading textbooks and teaching process respectively.The writer hopes that the paper will be able to give teachers on the front some reference,and help them to improve and promote their reading teaching purposefully for developing students'reading literacy.
