Quanzhou has a long history,profound cultural background,a gathering of literati,special natural conditions and social background and many other factors,which have created conditions for the emergence of cliff carvings in Jiuri Mountain.From the Song Dynasty to the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,Jiuli Mountain cliff stone carvings were rich in form,diverse in calligraphy style,including Zhuan script,Li script,Kai script,Xing script and Cursive script,which provided valuable literature for future generations to study local ancient culture.From the discussion on the influence of Minnan culture on Quanzhou Jiuri Mountain,to the research on the inscriptions in Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties,the purpose,age,local history and chronicles of each inscription are compared in depth to reveal the literati connotation and humanistic value of the ancient traditional culture in Quanzhou.Then through the case study of the stone carving calligraphy art in JiuRishan Mountain,Quanzhou,the author specifically analyzed the status,artistic achievements,style of the stone carving calligraphers in different times and their impact on future generations,which contributed to the promotion of the city culture of Quanzhou and the study of Quanzhou regional calligraphy.
