Preparation And Application Of Friendship Jealousy Questionnaire For College Students

As a kind of passive emotional experience,jealousy is paid attention by scholars for quite some time.Friendship jealousy is one kind of interpersonal relationship jealousy.That is jealousy happening among friends,which appears when individual feels relationship between friend and others will threaten his/hers,afraid of being replaced by the third person,so as to produce a kind of emotion including anger,sadness,anxiety and awkwardness.Emergence and development of friendship jealousy will not only bring personal negative emotion,but also reduce the quality of peer relationship,affect individual interpersonal skills.Therefore it has much practical significance to measure friendship jealousy and explore its formation mechanism.Based on the existing theories and researches at home and abroad,703 college students were selected as subjects to prepare the friendship jealousy questionnaire through literature analysis,questionnaire survey,project analysis,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,reliability and validity test and other methods.The relationship between parenting style,internal control,self-esteem and friendship and jealousy of college students is also discussed.The results are as follows。Based on the researches of friendship jealousy at home and abroad,this paper draws up a friendship jealousy questionnaire of college students by measuring methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,project analysis,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis and reliability and validity test etc.which confirm to psychology.It also further explores factors among parental rearing style,inter control,self-esteem and friendship jealousy.And the results are as follows:(1)The self-compiled "Friendship Jealousy Questionnaire for College Students" contains 14 items in four dimensions,namely,character nature,emotional response,behavioral response and attitude towards others;The questionnaire has good structural validity,criterion-related validity,internal consistency reliability(0.86),retest reliability(0.879),etc.It can be used for the measurement and research of friendship jealousy of college students.(2)Female students score significantly higher than male students on factor of friendship jealousy.Freshmen and sophomores have significantly higher scores than juniors and seniors on factor of friendship jealousy.Urban college students score significantly higher than rural college students on factor of friendship jealousy.(3)Father’s rejection,father’s overprotection,mother’s rejection and mother’s overprotection negatively affect self-esteem and internal control.Rejection and overprotection of father and mother negatively affect self-esteem and internal control,but have positive effect on friendship jealousy.Warmth from father and mother positively influences self-esteem and internal control,but negatively affects friendship jealousy.Internal control and self-esteem negatively influence friendship jealousy.Internal control has positive effect on self-esteem.(4)Internal control and self-esteem play a chain mediating role between parenting style(father/mother refusal,father/mother overprotection,father/mother emotional warmth)and friendship and jealousy.
