A Practice Report On Chinese Translation Of The Long Sentences Of Internet Fragmentaion:An Overview Under The Guidance Of The Translation Variation Theory

In the era of globalization,the rapid development of science and technology has made international communication more and more extensive around the world.English for science and technology translation is playing an increasingly important role in the great practice of rejuvenating our country through science and technology.This paper chooses some chapters of Internet Fragmentation: An Overview as practical Chinese translation texts.In view of the translation obstacles caused by the characteristics of specialized texts,long sentence structures and complex logical relations,under the guidance of the translation variation theory,five translation methods involving Addition,Deletion,Edition,Combination and Revision are employed to revise the original translation of some typical long sentences,which has significantly improved the quality of translation.Through the comparison of the original translation with the revised translation,it is proved that the above strategies can effectively solve the problem with long sentences translation in the translation of the text of science and technology,and accordingly it has also been confirmed that the translation variation theory is rather effective in the translation of long sentences in the text of science and technology.
