| In the era of universal pursuit of high efficiency, academic procrastination has become a common phenomenon amomg students,it refers to the behavior in which students unnecessarily delay the task and thus experiences negative emotions in the learning context. This kind of behavior not only affects the efficiency of individual learning, but also directly affects the students’ academic performance. At the same time,it leads to negative emotions and even adverse physiological reactions. Therefore,it is urgent to explore the mechanism that leads to academic procrastination. It has been found that two important causes of procrastination are fear failure and aversion task.Fear failure is a characteristic of perfectionists, and students who are disgusted with tasks are easily attracted by irrelevant activities if they lack selfcontrol ability.Based on this, this study combines the Temporal Motivation Theory(TMT)and the social cognition theory, selects the personal factor perfectionism and delay of gratification, the environmental factor time pressure, and explores the mechanism of the influence of the joint action on the procrastination behavior. The study randomly assigned students to the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group guided the individual to realize the importance and urgency of completing the task within one week to stimulate the individual’s time pressure. At the same time, used the stress perception scale 、 the delayed questionnaires 、the multidimensional perfection questionnaires, the academic delay of gratification questionnaires and anxiety self-rating scales to measure the indices of each dimension. Finally,a mediation model with adjustment was constructed to investigate the regulation of anxiety on the mediation model of delayed gratification under time stress. The main findings are as follows:(1)Individuals’ Academic procrastination are significantly different under different time pressures.Time pressure is significantly related to academic procrastination, and time pressure can predict academic procrastination behavior.(2)Under the time pressure,non-adaptive perfectionism is significantly negatively correlated with delay gratification, significantly positively correlated with academic procrastination behavior, and can increase procrastination behavior by reducing the intermediary role of delay satisfaction.(3)Under the time pressure, adaptive perfectionism is significantly positively correlated with delay gratification, significantly negatively correlated with academic procrastination behavior, and can reduce procrastination behavior by increasing the intermediary role of delay gratification.(4)Under the time pressure scenario, the anxiety caused by time pressure has a regulatory effect on the mediation model of delay gratification to non-adaptive perfectionism and academic procrastination. |
