Research On Picture Scroll Of The Tale Of Genji

The Tale of Genji is a masterpiece of Japanese classical literature written in the Heian Period of Japan(about 1000 years ago).It is currently recognized as one of the oldest novels in the world.Its works have influenced the aesthetics of Japan as a whole.The painting volume of Genji’s Tales is a traditional Japanese art work created around Genji’s Tales.It is the popular art language of the Ping’an period,the characteristics of the Oriental scroll,the composing method of planarization,the lines of writing style,occasional gold foil,and the painting volume of Genji’s Tales is an excellent work integrating the story of Genji’s Tales and Japanese traditional culture.This paper will analyze the artistic means of its painting volume.The artistic method and historical tradition are used to see the charm and important position of Japanese traditional culture.The first chapter of this article explains why The Tale of Genji,as a literary work,has become the subject of many paintings.This article will try to analyze it from the aesthetic perspective and trace back to the process of exploring earlier works.In the first section of the second chapter,I first think about the golden color in Japanese painting by explaining the background of Western Christianity.Think about the most common color in the painting of the early Genji Stories-Gold.In the second section,the artistic form in the drawing volume is analyzed.Chapter three,because the early art of Japan is closely related to the unique religion of Japan.The first section seeks the source of artistic expression through ancient artistic activities.The beauty of Japanese painting can not be separated from the source of Japanese beauty,an aesthetic consciousness of "material sorrow".It starts from the position of the consciousness of "material sorrow" in the works.This article tries to use Japanese culture and the essence of culture as the starting point to penetrate different works of art.From the perspective of culture and belief,we can get a deeper understanding of Genji’s painting volumes.
