A Study On Ling Shuhua's Paintings In Multicultural Communication

When the political authority is at its lowest point,the development of society and the prosperity of culture get discrepantly.And the intellectuals would become the free individual in study research.The modern times(1850s-1950s)is 3rds climax in culture and art after the pre-Qin and the Songs dynasty in China.There were a lot of literary masters and the art giants are full of heroes.Although Ling Shuhua is not a significant figure,she is a female intellectual in a new era who specialized in literary and art at the turn of the century.She looked like a hermit in the troubled times,but flourished in the European international arena.She was a special existence in literary and art world.In the discussion of post-colonialism,Ling Shuhua is adherence to traditional art while absorbing Western modernist culture,and spared no effort to promote national art overseas.To some extent,she could be called as patriot in art.This article takes Ling Shuhua's life trajectory as the vertical time axis,draws the paintings as the horizontal extension axis,and uses the literary works of different periods as the auxiliary to present a three-dimensional image of artist Ling Shuhua.The first chapter is a prelude,with the method of sociology make a causal analytic of Ling Shuhua's artistic culture and literati painting style under the influence of family education and inherited painting skill from teachers,the group Beijing Painting Research Society.Find the traces of Western art in the early paintings under the influence of the friend Xu Zhimo,and foreshadow the possibility later overseas artistic activities.The second chapter,as the key chapter,analyzes the internal and external factors of Ling Shuhua's painting creation with psychology and sociology,analyzes the oriental elements in illustrator works and the Vanessa calendar with semiotics and forms,and thus figure out Ling Shuhua played role as a cultural messenger with painting in the east and west.The third chapter divides Ling Shuhua's works into different categories,analyzes the connotation of Ling Shuhua's ink landscape and ink and flower paintings under the cross-cultural background,and the deconstruction analysis of herself in the illustration works.The fourth chapter analyzes Ling Shuhua's adherence to national art with European art exhibitions and art propaganda.The fifth chapter starts from the cultural consciousness,and summarizes Ling Shuhua's time value as a painter with Ling Shuhua's artistic attitude and persistence of literati painting.Based on the internal innovation of Chinese civilization and the cultural exchange between China and the West under the impact of European civilization,the thesis studies the artistic style and artistic choice of Ms.Ling Shuhua,and thus learns the role of Chinese intellectuals in the Republic of China and the development of traditional art.
