Research On The Relationship Between Wang Shizhen And Wang Xijue

Both Wang shizhen and Wang Xijue were important figures in Ming dynasty.Wang Shizhen was a famous writer in Chinese literature history,and Wang Xijue was famous for his high reputation in Chinese political history.This paper will focus on the intimate relationship between Wang Shizhen and Wang Xijue,meanwhile try to analyze the deep reasons and influences of it,basing on the methods of other papers which are also related to relationship research,on the studies of other scholars,like biographies,chronicles,as well as on the original materials,like their letters and poems,historical data,local records and works of the writers from Ming Dynasty.At the very begin year of Longqing,the emperor proclaimed a general amnesty,so Wang Shizhen's father Wang Shu got a rehabilitation seven years after his wrongly death.From then on,Wang Shizhen and Wang Xijue began to contact each other.The relationship between them were so intimate.They were connected in family,religion,politics.These contacts made them more like blood-brothers,always sharing their feeling and opinions.Why they could be so firmly connected?Firstly because there were a lot of common points of their families.Secondly,their personalities and characters were similar.Finally,they shared some same life experience,especially adoring Tanyangzi at the same time,which made them have a lot of common words mentally.The close relationship between a distinguished litterateur and a wellknown politician could have a great influence on politics and literature.For politics,Wang shizhen and Wang Xijue formed a political ally to fight with Zhang Juzheng,who was prime minister at that time.And Wang Shizhen also promoted the emperor Wanli set his eldest son Zhu Changluo as acrown prince.For literature,because of Wang Xijue,Wang Shizhen began to focus on the natural and fresh style of writing.At last several years of his life,Wang Shizhen led an easy and peaceful life with the help of Wang Xijue,so he paid more attention to little things and fun of the life,and paid less attention to the social value of literature.
