Research On The Characterization Of The TV Play "White Deer Plain"

The TV series "White Deer plain",which was released in 2017,was adapted from a novel.The characters in the play are different and there exist various judgements on them.Studying the characters and summarizing the success and misconception of their shaping techniques will contribute to provide references for other similar TV dramas in the way of character shaping.In this paper,the research on the character image of the TV series "White Deer" is discussed from three aspects: editing,guiding and performing.The first part takes the criterion of text shaping as the starting point and takes the interaction between the characters in the drama as a clue.In order to highlight the image of the main characters in the play,the scriptwriter analyzes and interpretes the plot changes in the play and takes care of the image of the self and the others.The second part is based on the ups and downs of the main characters,highlighting the main tone of the characters in the drama,and interpreting the life texture of the characters in the play with Bai Jiaxuan and Lu Zilin as representatives.At the same time,it strengthens the color of female characters,the rebellious women represented by Tian Xiao’e and Bai Ling and the mysterious females represented by Xiancao and Leng Qiuyue,in order to highlight the uniqueness of women’s colors in the drama.The third chapter intervenes from the actor performance level and explores the role construction by the compatibility between the actors and the characters and the actor’s grasp of the details of the characters in the performance process and the public’s controversy about the actors’ performance.The conclusion summarizes the methods of shaping the characters of the TV series "White Deer Plain" and its practical significance.
